This is a very pleasant song. It is a modern style symphony mixing parts with brass instruments, tubular bells, xylophone, flute and synth strings, to name but a few.
A simple but effective beat carries through the song. This beat and the brass tunes give it an epic game soundtrack kind of feel.
1/3 of the way through there are a few notes that sound out of tune. (Maybe the song is not 100% compatible with my player). This can be easily fixed if you have a tracker. Just fix the odd notes using the necessary transpose. (And the song is well worth it!)

This is an absolutely fantastic module! The integration of accoustic instruments and electric guitar is excellent. There is plenty of variation and this piece, although long, is never boring. Hight quality samples throughout. Excellent creative display. What else can I say? Download it now!!!

Lots of sounds and effects. There are plenty of interesting ideas in there but for my personal taste it is a bit "overdone" and too much "in your face". Perhaps that was the intention?
Worth listenning because it contains lots of good ideas. Maybe I am just too conservative in my musical taste.

Great piece of music combining piano and top quality electric guitars samples. Excellent rithm variations on the piano.
It is clear the composer is in full control of the music mood and it really takes you on a trip through Heaven and Hell.
Certainly one to add to my list of favorites.

Here is a module that sounds rather simple, yet the rithm and pace of it just make you want to dance! It seems to hit all the right chords and has a great "feel good" factor to it.
I listen to it and it immediately gets me into a good mood. I can recognize some of the oriiginal Soundtracker samples from the Amiga.

Beautiful!
Really peaceful with some dramatic/sad momments this music really carries emotion.
Very good quality samples too.
Excellent use of tempo and mood changes. Lovely mellodies. Really good piece of music. Does not get score 10 from me because in my oppinion the end is a bit sudden. Still definetely one of my favorites.

This is a fair attempt at a heavy metal module.
The mellody is OK, although not great.
Many parts do not seem to fit together well. When the synth comes in it clashes with the guitar. But the drums sound better in the synth part, in my oppinion. The finale could be improved.
Still, not all bad: The samples are good quality and some parts do sound good.

This is a very well written piece of orchestral music. It could have been used for the soundtrack of a spy drama or a police thriller.
Although this is a fairly quiet piece, I feel a sense of underlying tension that would suit very well a spy drama soundtrack. The music opens up with some wood winds and harp, then the violins join in for a very calm start. As the song progresses, the snare drums and percussion create the underlying tension, while the overlying string and winds mellody remains calm. There are a couple of short faster streches. I find the violins mellody particularly pleasing.

This is why I keep comming back to modarchive! You are sure to get some excellent music!
Looking for an thrilling electronic/ambience song? This one is for you then! Clear samples all over, this is a very lively composition although with a soft beat. Good mellody and variation add to the interest of this piece. I definetely recommend it.

This song has a very nice "brazilian flavour" rithm to it. Shame so little has been added on top and absolutely no variation. I was very bored after 30 seconds.

Interesting mix of samples and overall a well achieved rithm and sequence. A shame it is so repetitive and, therefore, becomes so boring.

The melody is OK, but it just gets too boring after a while.
This music would need a bit more variation to make it interesting to listen to. For some reason the overal volume is also very low (I had to boost my PC volume way up so I could listen to it).

Here is a module I actually do not like. It could be a matter of taste, but to me it sounds like the main mellody, bass and rythm don't belong together.
Not everything is bad, the samples are good quality and each of the instruments in isolation sounds OK.
Have a listen and make up your own mind about it. But I guarantee you will find much better modules in this website quite easily.

This is not just a Classical music module, it is a conversion of "Moolight Shadow" by Mike Oldfield into a baroque composition for harpsichord, guitar and pipe organ what sounds to me like some sort of trompet.

A very interesting piece. The author hs changed the tempo and made the necessary arrangements to make these instruments fit in with the music.

This music is an excellent composition with plenty of variation and combining different styles and moods.
The samples are ver good quality and you will really be foot tapping to the beat, especially in the fast bits.
Having said that, there is a considerable number of samples that are rips from the music of an Amiga game called Stardust. Some patterns also have either been copied or are very similar to the ones on the game music as well. For example the fast bits after 1m:50s and 2m:50s.

I did not go through all the game levels and I can't remember all the game songs, but from what I rememeber I would not say this module has been plagiated, it rather seems to have been constructed using samples and perhaps some patterns or rithms from the mentioned game music.
If you do have the game or the original music, check for yourself. In any case this is an excellent module that should be in everyone's collection.

This is a very soft dance style module. Lots of pleasant and high quality synth samples blended together by a soft dance beat.
The melody is very good and the samples have been well chosen creating a very enveloping listenning experience.

There are various synth, flute and piano stretches with no beat transmitting a great sense of calm.
I find that there is a "asian spirit" to many of the note sequences.
Very, very beautiful.

I wonder why the author has classified this song into the "crap" genre. That was rather harsh.
The samples are synth sounds but the rithm and melody sound more like heavy metal. I would classify it as "experimental" or perhaps even "techno metal" (if there is such a thing).
Anyway, very good marks on originality. Listen to it and make your own mind.

When looking for another module I found this one and decided to download it since it had such a good rating.
It is definetely worth it!
I am not a raock / heavy metal fan but I do enjoy this style of music on modules. I know how hard it is to compose a hard rock / heavy metal module that sounds "right".
The drum, bass and guitar samples on this module are all very good. I especially like the guitar because it has a phaser effect that smoothes the overdrive distortion to give a very, very pleasant sound.
For me the only flaw of this module is that it is a bit short. A guitar solo could have been added to really make it jaw dropping.
A really like the way it finishes into a very good quality prolongued guitar note.

This is an interesting song with several unexpected mood / ritm changes. Although these are sometimes wierd, in my oppinion, the song is still pleasing to listen to.
The second half of this song makes me think of a planet full of insect robots.

Excellent! What can I say? It Rocks!!!
In the last few days I have been under the urge to listen to heavy metal modules (I am not even a heavy metal fan!). It is particularly difficult to create convincing heavy metal modules. This one is excellent. The samples are very good (fantastic drums!). The electric guitar samples are also very good quality and the use of effects is realistic and perfectly fits in with the melody. Great transitions between different ritms, as you would expect in a good heavy metal song.
The only thing I do not like in this module (therefore score 9 instead of 10) is the ending where the sound cuts off sharply: I would have preferred a bit of ressonance.

Listenning to this song is not a total waste of time, as some parts are very good. The ritm and bass are very good thoughout and sound convincing. However, the lead guitar is very poor (sounds lika a piano to me) and completely destroys the heavy metal feel to the song, perhaps causing some people to stop before getting to the best part of the song, which is really good.
At the middle of the song there is a short accoustic solo that is mellodically very good, but again the sample is a let down - It sounds like an harp rather than a guitar.
Then the electric guitar kicks in for what is the most spectacullar part of the song. Here the electric guitars sound as they should and the middle part of the song is really excellent.
The fast solo is also good, if perhaps the tremolo and glissando effects are slightly exaggerated.
Certainly good composing skills displayed. A shame the poor choice of some of the samples.
