* November 25, 2001: For those of you who go to the #modarchive IRC channel to chat (you can use the "Chat" link in the left link list), there is now a page of #modarchive rules. Please read these to avoid being kicked out.

Also, we've hade a case of seriously bad style when it comes to reviewing. If you're a reviewer, artist, or thinking of becoming a reviewer, please read about the Bad Reviewing.

For those who missed it, the AP file list is up.

Stary

* November 19, 2001: There is now a list of Altered Perception files with their old names from AP, with artist info and so on. Check it out.

Also I've added the link to the chat from our last news here to the main selection bar to the left, so you can now use it to get directly to the chat page from any modarchive page. See you around on #modarchive.

* October 21, 2001: Now it's possible to chat with us at #modarchive without using mIRC! You'll find a java IRC client at http://modarchive.red-heat.com/. Many thanks to RedHeat for setting this service up!

See you all at #modarchive! =)

* October 18, 2001: A warning to all modarchive users:
Microsoft has, in it's latest version of Internet Explorer, removed plugin support, and not replaced it with anything similar. This means that if you upgrade, modlug will no longer play songs from modarchive for you. I am looking for some kind of workaround for this, but I must strongly advice everyone who's thinking about upgrading their Internet Explorer not to do so. My recomendation is to stick to your old version or use the Mozilla browser.

* October 13, 2001: The Wave World sample archive now has a new category, called Soundstate. This category contains the packs 8-23 from the old Soundstate archive, which until now had been unavailable for about a year. Featuring 816 MB of samples (312 packs, 1 604 WAV's) from cool synthesizers, this collection will rock your world for sure! =)

I'd like to thank 4T for sampling and making this opportunity possible! Stay tuned for even more sample news in the future!

* Febuary 19, 2001:
Our link feature is now online. The main purpose is to link demoscene sites and other great sites that are worth a visit. We do not however want to have a link to every artists own homepage. Groups might be ok, but still that is not the main purpose of this page. Remember that you can use html code to create links on your own artist page.

Send us links by using the mail form.
Click here to watch our link collection.

* Febuary 3, 2001:
Wave World has now started a poll, to decide whether or not an alternative to the WAV archive would be of interest to our visitors. As you might already know mp3 quality (if bitrate is sufficient) is rather close to the original WAV quality, but file size is reduced by ~90%. Would mp3 files be of interest to you or not? Please tell us your opinion in the poll, which can be found at Wave World

LoRdLaZeR

* January 31, 2001:
There have been changes to Wave World, and the most noticeable is that the sample archive has gone WAV. This will ensure that sound quality is the best. And other than that:
- File names are called (more or less) what the title calls them
- A few (IMHO) bad packs have been removed
- New logo. Thanks to Schabuda for the design!

We will shortly start a poll to decide if you people are interested in an alternative to these rather big WAV packs. Mp3 encoded files don't sound that bad, and downloading smaller packs only 1/10 of the files size might interest some slow surfing people.

LoRdLaZeR

If you missed it, A new top 10 list is up.
