This chat room is not suitable for minors, while it is generally impossible to enforce this we expect people to behave like adults, if not then expect to be treated like a minor and expelled.

All enter at their own risk. You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy of the chat network you are connecting to, as well. Check the /motd command after connecting.

Access to the Mod Archive chat room is a privilege, not a right. The moderators have the right to remove people from the chat room for any reason or no reason at all at any time and without prior notice.

Rules (Original and Still in Effect)

Our classic IRC rules, so you can see we haven’t changed all that much!

• Speak english.
  
• This is a PG rated environment. Not suitable for young children at all. You should at least be over the age of 13 if you wish to participate in the chatroom.
  
• Behave civilised. Don't harass other users on the channel. This includes any kind of stalking or otherwise harassing other users on the channel in private
  or in other places. If you have a problem with someone, [b]just don't talk to them[/b].
  
• Don't flood, DO NOT SCREAM (Don't use only CAPS), don't use excessive amounts of color or other control codes.
  
• Keep sexually explicit or otherwise disturbing things out of the channel.
  
• Don't use extensively bad language
  
• No stats fiddling... the channel is for chat, not for you to get a high score.
  
• No your bots are not allowed on the channel. This also includes scripts that auto-send messages to the channel or to users on the channel.
  
• Do not advertise for other channels (exceptions can be made regarding compos, and other such mod-related channels).
  
• Do not abuse the bots.
  
• Use common sense.
  
• The ops are always right. If you don't agree with this, that's your problem to deal with.
  
• Please avoid coming into the channel drunk or 'high' on substances. It apparently has to be said - If you act like an arsehole, you'll be banned.
  
• If you're banned, accept it and wait until the time limit runs out. Ban evasion is strictly forbidden. Threatening or harassing ops will do you no good.
  
• Access to #modarchive is a privilege, not a right
