Very nice track here,it's got a good "chill out" vibe, pinball game music style. its very relexing and calm, and its a pretty creative work, altho there are no big suprises through the track. it's got a very good bassline and some nice atmospheric beeps and theres good choir and chords sounds goin on on the background. this is a good track but theres nothing that I never heared before in it... pretty well-made track.. the samples here are very nice, they mix toghter pretty good.. 2 bad the artist didn't use a lot of effects, maybe they could make this track better.. anyway,it's a good tune for this style.

The song is splitted into different parts. Sometimes it sounds really like a ballad (use of synth) and another times it shifts progressively to a more "heavy" music by using a good distorded guitar. Nice song, but a little bit repetitive finally. Technically, this song is very good. I enjoy to listen to it because all the samples (both 8-bit and 16-bit are used) are fine. The only drawback is the absence of interesting song effects.

I personally would not call this music but rather a sound assembly. I did not expect a file of nearly 800KB to sound so ancient. This is some kind of atmospheric music which could eventually fit the game over screen of a 3D shooter where you have unlimited lives...just joking. Put this one into a dungeon game or something like this and maybe it worked. I don´t like it. This is nothing you would listen to intentionally. Rather sounds as if the creator was a newby in tracking. The synth bass gets on your nerves after a quite short period of time cause it´s arrangement is too poor. The rest of this tune is also substandard. There are fragments of melodies which have a very repetitive effect. But the worst of all is the drums arrangement which is simply CRAP. Sorry Spiff, but this is definitely no hit.

I think this one is a nice tune. Although it brings up no new ideas in ambient/rock music it comes up with nice choirleads and a synth guitar which form a nice melodic piece of music. The song itself is a bit repetetive but no bad work. Nice melody ! In my eyes the drumline is a little bit too basic and repetetive. The author could have improved there. What I also miss are background chords. The samples sound well tuned and the quality is ok. The melody overlays are also well done. Try out this piece of music.

I don´t assume anyone in this world likes this song. It´s a weird composition of samples from different styles containing sampled speech. The jungle beat is so old that my ears closed automatically. The song itself has no line. It sometimes sounds as if it was out of beat. My suggestion : DON´T DOWNLOAD. The author himself describes this song as his first real steps in drum & bass music. I have to fully support his opinion. The arrangement is neither ambitious nor does it bring up any interesting ideas. What´s even worse that it is absolutely repetetive. Nothing more to say but : MISTA TITO, DO BETTER NEXT TIME !

The song is something as a "test song". It's the first release of the artist. Clearly, it's not a very interesting song. There are only two guitars, one bass and some maracas. Because it sounds very unusual, I'm not boring listening to this song... Hearing this song, we're sure that's a beginner work, but finally I wonder if it's due to a lack of technical ability or if it's due to the content of the song. It sounds indeed like two beginners trying to play guitars together. Hard to judge this song technically speaking because of the very few numbers of instruments and of the no use of effects.

This is a REAL professional jungle track. the artist was very creative here,he mixed orchestral/flutes melodies with some awesome jungle beats. the jungle beats here are very unique, they also change through the track. the bassline in this track is great too,it gives this track that *jungle-feeling*. nothing here sounds out of tune/noisy/monotonous/annoying, this is a real high-quality track. download it or u`ll be sorry! :-) Very professional work, everything was put in the right places and everything here stays on ballance all the time (thats pretty difficult to do,when ur working with jungle/orchestral music) .. the reason I gave this track 9.0 rating and not 10.0 is bcuz its only 3:30 mins long,if it was 4-5 mins it could be really great,I think this track needs one more melody.

Very Unique track, the beat here is very cool,i`ve never heard something like that before.. the melody here is very weird, sounds like an indian flute... Many people will say this tune is just some crappy samples thrown into a track, but some people will say this is a fun track. u decide whatever u want,I like this.. :-) This probably took magnus just a couple of hours to make.. the samples here are average, but magnus used them pretty good, and magnus used some funny voice samples, they sound pretty cool with the track ("i`ll just click one stupid key and this will repeat all over again",hahahahaha)

LoL! this is a very funny track, theres a sample that's repeating all the time saying "u mother fuckers can suck my dick" with a breakbeat/techno music goin on the background. somehow the voice samples fit to it.. don't take this seriously, just listen to it a couple of times and delete it.. Theres some chip melody and a nice breakbeat repeating all the time with the swearing samples.. hmm... thats all there is to say about the technical side of this track..

Wow.. this is pure hard-gabber track.. Magnus was probably really mad when he done this track. the melody here is screaming and the drums are really crazy.. the drums here have a lot of energy and they kick REALLY HARD,more then an average hardcore track. don't d/l this track unless ur into this style, otherwise if u'll listen to this track 2 times u`ll want to kill urself. (don't say I didn't warn u) Only a very creative mind like Magnus's can make trax like this.. this was, unfortunately, used for the *bad* side of hardcore music..... this track is VERY noisy,be carefull on ur ears!

Magnus was very creative on this track,he made a very weird melody here, but it sounds great.. he ripped some samples from the real song and put them on a faster mode. somehow everything fits toghter (!) even the hard-bass drum sounds great with everything, this is a very enjoyable track,must-download for any dance/hardcore lover. The transitions,arrangment,build-ups,speed of this track r excellent. Magnus wrote on the instrument text that this track was very easy to make,I bet it was..this track is pretty simple-made but that doesn't make it less good, bcuz the result of it is great!

This is a great trance track,it's got everything there should be on a hard trance track - excellent intro, bassline, psychedelic melodies, noisy synthesizer music.. beautiful :-) I like the funny voice sample here that comes in the beginning, says "Do I look like someone who cares what god thinks",then it starts to kick.. this is a track u can put in high-volume and just jump! but I have to say,in some parts the bassline and the melodies don't mix so good and become too noisy.. but maybe that won't disturb a mad trance psycho from enjoying the tune! Very good work. the artist worked on the little details, and kept the track interesting and hard all the time.. the chords here sound great, they fit very well to this track's vibe. the samples here are very good, the build-ups are good and the ideas are good, the arrangement is kinda noisy sometimes but its not too bad. every trance lover should download this track and keep it..!

This track changes too much,in 1:58 its very good but after a while it turns into a very annoying disco/club tune.. there are no build-ups or real arrangment here,it sounds like the artist just practiced with his samples or something,it doesn't sound like a real tune. but i have to say,in the good parts of the track it really gets good and hard, and its a pretty original work, too bad the artist didn't work on making it REAL music.. Theres nothing bad about the samples that were used here and theres nothing really awesome about them. there are some nice voice samples,a very harsh bassdrum and some other cheap house-style samples and that's all.. theres no theme melody here or anything that could make this track more interesting.. if the artist had made a real tune out of the melody that comes in 1:58 this could be great.

Brilliant track,in some parts it sounds like a trance track but its basicly a Robert Miles style dream/house track. most of the track sounds very professional, only the beginning isn't that good. the composer mixed excellent piano melodies with strings and choir,it sounds great toghter, they also change themself many times toghter,so its not monotonious.. the bassline is great too,it fits very nicely to the house beat.. this is how dream-house should sound like! Download this track if u wanne c how to build a good house track. everything was putten where it should be in this track (exept the first minute).. the artist knows how to work with this kind of music, all the samples are in the right volume, many dream artists put the volume too high on the piano samples,it isn't like that on this track.. everything is almost perfect here.. the artist wrote he's inspired by Robert Miles (and the track's name is "Miles Ahead",hehe) this track sounds just like him! good work!!

This track has a brilliant piano melody, that fits very nicely to the strings and beats. This is one of those trax that u can listen to over and over all day,and even dance to it.. but the sad thing about the track is that the beats don't get a little more harder through the track,I think when the lead melody comes in with synth music the beats should have a little change.. overall, this is a great dance tune, sure worth a download! The track was done pretty professionally, the artist used the filter effect a lot,he used some nice echo where there should be,and he had a very good strings technique.. the strings here sound awesome and the samples here are good, but I think they are pretty average for this kinda music. DJ Yan: a little more creativity won't hurt anyone! ;)

One thing that I really hate about some songs is that they have a brilliant melody that really makes it stand out, but its cluttered by the fact that it was made poorly and with little experience. The melody in this song could have gone a lot further, cleaner (more modern) instruments, better mixing and more attention to detail would have made this a very nice song. Otherwise, its probably best that you left it alone. The technical quality of the instruments is just passable, but the way the song has been put together is almost offensive. Some will like it, others won't. I didn't.

uhhhh what virus has THIS guy got? The song threw me for a loop, I expected some kind of hard techno song and what do i get?: a poppy rock song full of folk guitar, and cheesy guitar riff, tom toms blazing and the urge to delete. Well, I HAVE heard worse, and despite its repetative nature and cheese quota, the poppy song can become catchy......i guess..... O.K. tech here, I mean, nothing speacial. Good use of panning and and volume effects. Plus the old ass guitar used sounds...fresher in this mod...i dunno. Happy tune, happy mod, and I guess a happy guy.....title still perplexes me....I guess I should make a heavy metal-industrial hit called "Joy of Love."

ahhh, MY subject....hmm, well the song isn't all bad. Simple yet good rhythm, interesting samples, good beat, and a nice driving factor that gives it a little oomph. Now the bad: just little things, such as a veeeeery long intro to what we were expecting anyway, and this song is REPETATIVE, its repetative...repetative is what it is....but not too bad, just boring. now here's where the song falters. While the use of instruments is good, and the echoing acid synths are a great touch, the song feels rather empty, being only minimaly layered, and sporting an ending so out of whack it would make charles manson cry...I have the feeling this was one of the composers first mods....and if thats the case its not too bad...

Another surpriser. This one also starts off very anmbient but then quickly turns into a catchly pop song with some jazz overtones even! Althought this type of music isn't really my cup of tea, it does grab your attention with some VERY cool instruments and fast paced patterns. Demo-ish in quality, but still quite breakthrough. This song does indeed have alot of tech to it. The strings are all manipulated in some fashion, and there are many tempo fluctuations. The instrements all fir in nicely together, and there are no attonal elements to throught the listener off. an interesting mod, its a wonder why the composer wished to remain anonymous?

The artist that did this track had awesome samples, but he just didn't know how to use them,he doesn't know how to build up a tune.. this track starts with a noisy *cut-off* synth chord, that doesn't change a lot through the track,it stays in the background music of the track ALL THE TIME,so it gets really annoying after a while.. in 0:32 comes up a cool acid part, that kinda saves the track from total boringness :) this track could have been really awesome with some more work. Samples are great, but the use of them isn't! my advice to this artist is: remove that annoying synth chord, don't repeat patterns, make better transitions and then u`ll get excellent acid/trance track! i`m sure he'll understand that after more practice..

This song is a prime example of how to use speech samples that aren't you own and mix them into a (short) song. The song is very primitive, yet it maintains an overall quality that most don't have. Perhaps it goes to that old saying 'Quality not quantity'. The song consists of a simple jungle beat (a slow one), a wonderful synth string playing and a harp-ish sort of noise. Over this, there is occasionally a speech sample played with a record being spun backwards, giving it that punk sound to a really soothing song. The speech sample, I beleive is an astronaught, or a soldier, or something that was picked up off the airwaves. Semi-Pro AND Excellent? There's a reason. The sample quality is excellent, the mixing quality is also excellent, what isn't excellent is the speech sample. Oh well, you get that. I only gave it Semi-Pro because the song is too short and there's not much to it as far as complexity goes, but there's no doubt that this musician will get a lot better.

The song starts almost like a dream, the samples come in realisticly, the drums start pounding at the precise moment, and the entire song couldn't be more polished. Not long after this, though, the musicians obviously got drunk and fell to sleep with their head rolling over the keyboard. No, seriously, its not that bad, but the song loses its intial quality and becomes annoying just a bit too quickly for my personal liking. It does have a memorable melody though, so it might be worth downloading. Another person who decided to nick some speech samples from *anywhere* and just slap them in. Well hey, it worked, didn't it? Some of the samples are a bit 'weak' to really fit into the song, and some of the stereo quality is poor. The samples are of very high quality however and because of this its all worth downloading.

This song is very good, there are however, some small errors in its compiling which I feel really detract from the finished version. Yes, I know, I'm often on about this sort of thing, but the song really could have been so much better. Its mostly the levels of the song, the beat gets too loud and the entire thing becomes quite annoying, and not only that, the synthetic instruments used in the chorus get pretty annoying. The song is broken into two large sections, the second part is much better than the first part, with a very fast (increased quality) break beat and some soothing synth lines, with your strings and your other instruments panning all over the place. Unfortunatly, the first section of the song ruined the rest of it. If you have the time, load up FT2 and cut it out. Some of the intruments aren't played at the right volume, and it makes the entire song sound rather tacky. Don't get too fussed over that, as a background tune its fine, and some of the breakbeats are very good (some aren't, though).

Here's another one of those songs which appears pretty tame when you first hear it, but many years later you'll probably stop and think, "It wasn't so bad afterall". Well, you may not think that, perhaps it would be more of a "It wasn't as good as I first thought", but the entire song is a Movie-Thriller-Soundtrack affair with your constant low quality break beat bouncing away in the background while your typical long deep strings play in the forground with a deep an bassy Piano. Oh, and there's a flute instrument in there which gets once or twice. Other than this, its mostly a synthetic affair which I'm sure most of you will like. If its your genre. Later on in the song it brings up nice beats, but they're all fairly low quality. Don't be put off however, the entire songs turns to Heavy Metal (well, almost). The samples are obviously ripped from a few other songs i've heard, and the entire thing is generally pretty good. There's no real stereo effects as far as I can tell, but it all appears pretty good.

All the samples fit very good toghter, and the chords sound great. the drums here r a little simple, but they r not too bad.. the real bad point of this track is that it doesn't go through climax.. there are some great parts, and some really bad. with some more work this could have been really big!

WoW!! I luve this song!! It has great ambient effects, and bluddy good percussions. The Industrial drums and smashes or whatever they are seem to be in a bit to much supply in this piece though. But I absolutely love music done like this, and That is what I think. There is only one small problem I find... The song seems to be a bit rusty on the panning. It seems to drift to the right more than it is balanced around the center, but this song is cool anyhow. Great samples asre chosen here, although not much in the way of effects and complexity in its structure, plus the errors with the panning, this song is quite good. I reckon that St3vor could make way better songs like this, and more popular songs like this if he put more care and time into his music.

I've been off the scene of Modarchive for a while, but I must admit I was slightly dissapointed when I came accross this song. Don't get me wrong, its a great song, but it lacks those small eccentricities which make a song memorable. Its your average techno affair with some screaming samples (and other grainy voice samples) put together with a hard-to-identify tune and some other small problems. Stereo effects are pretty standard, but just the same, they suit the song well, sample quality could have been higher, but then again, its a fairly small song. The other main aspect that I feel really let the song down was that it was too monotonous, it didn't change at all throughout the entire song, perhaps some slight changes in pitch or something would have sufficed.

Klausi describes the scene in the sampletext, a woods scene going through the night, when the shadows grow and the spooks come out, finally melting away into daylight when morning comes. In a piece this short, he's done a very nice job of twisting around the mood and notes of the music to his needs. Foreshadowing runs rampant through each phase of the piece, and there's some honestly innovative musical work, going through chord patterns that you don't see anywhere else. The lead synths are looped percussively in places, making for a very interesting tone, and there are a number of spots in the song that are deceptively sophisticated. Klausi used every trick in the book to make this mod into a technical work of art... Alternate echoing, retriggered samples for a percussive Mandolin effect, anything that could be done to squeeze any more out of this piece has been done, and masterfully so. This is a piece that's been audibly enhanced by good technical work, something that we don't often hear and usually overlook when we do. Klausi has gone outside of genres very blatantly with this song, though... It has a definite techno ambience, while keeping the sophistication of high classical through most of it. There's a small niche of people who will -love- this mod, and a good number who will enjoy it, if it pushes the right buttons.

Interesting mod. While being only less than 3 minutes long, it still is captivating. Beginning with a slightly industrial beat it quickly moves on into a softer, almost ambient song carried along by a strong uptempo beat. While not overly layered and complex, the simple melodies flow together and turn a short song into a nice little fill-in type track. Not too spectacular, but I dont think it was supposed ta be anyway. Being a short song, there isnt that much spectacular effects goin on. The samples go well with each other and the song has a nice steady flow. The only problem is repetitiveness. The song gets predictable after the first minute but the melodies and all the rest work well so who cares.

All I can say is "Awesome!" Manga had my attention from the very beginning of this masterpiece. An excellent beat, wicked organ, and the perfect mix! You're gonna want to kick your keyboard aside and turn your computer desk into a dance floor! The song is "sort-of" dance... "sort-of" rock... I dunno. The artist describes it as "Fast-Mix Style," whatever that means. All I know is I like this song a lot, and I think you might want to download it into your c: mods favorite right now. This is a truly excellent piece. I did not find any techical glitches in the song. The instruments are mixed perfectly. The song sounds full and dynamic. It seems that when you think you've heard it all, the artist throws in a new variation to the melody. I love that! A good use of volume envolopes. The artist was able to make the samples glisten. This baby sounds like something you'd hear only at high-quality places like the ModArchive! My suggestions: The artist left the song fairly mono. I want to see (hear, rather) more stereo panning, surround sound, and panning effects. Middle channel music sucks. This one isn't too bad, as some of the instruments sit a little to the left or to the right, but let's get some movement going on, baby. File size is quite big; try to bring that down a bit by tweaking and resampling your samples. Great job! -=GA=-

This song sounds like the conglomeration of a number of musical ideas that just happened to fit together. Some of them work, some of them don't... But the stylings and melodies of the song just scream out "Amateur." A single background runs through the entire length of the piece. There's not a single segue in the whole of it, parts just halt and a new theme opens up. Add this to an ending theme that desperately needs to be capped off better, and you have a song that could be something, but just doesn't quite measure up. The technical aspect in this mod was very inconsistent. Prework on the samples was woefully inadequate, as a number of them were out of tune with the rest, and once the piece was set in motion, absolutely nothing was done aside from setting channel pans once. It would have benefited greatly from a pause here and there, or perhaps some tempo variance, but the author just chugged his way through until the finish. This isn't the bottom of the barrel, but it just doesn't earn its way onto any playlists for any extended time.

This little number melds in a combination of acoustic strings and techno flanges, and doesn't sound half bad at it. Musically, it works well enough. The passages that run completely acoustic tend to sound much better than the parts where the flanges are mixed in, but it does need the extra random factor to fill out the sound, and it's an audible difference. Though it's not the most breathtaking or groundbreaking piece on the planet, this ballad dedicated to Ingrid Peters is certainly a worthy bit of music, the intensity rolling in and out to build up to a very nice climax, with a good rollout ending. Silencer knew what he was doing with this piece, and most of the pre-work was done very nicely. The only real detractions from the piece are sloppy handling on an orchestra hit, and the fact that the somwhat random panning on the flange hits are a bit -too- random... They demand attention, drawing it away from the real melody of the piece. The rest of the technical work is all but fabulous, though... Ideal sample and instrument rendering, and superb fading options bring this piece to a very good close. An interesting mix of instruments for the style, but this piece has something to offer for people who are looking for something slower, with a more instrospective feel.

Very good samples used in this track, they are 8-bit quality but that doesn't make it less good.. it takes more then 2 years of practice to learn how to make trax in this pro-level,so download it,Mad God deserves it :) u can also learn a lot of good techniques of dance music from this mod.

The artist just put some melodies he heard from some old shows and movies,I didn't recognise them all.. its pretty boring, the artist didn't work on the small details and it sounds just like the background music of the 80s pop songs. Everything the track has is fake guitar sample, those stupid 80s drums and a very bad bassline.. the intro and ending of this track are novice-tracker made, but 80s music fans won't be disappointed.. maybe this could be a good music for a gamboy game or something like that..

Not a real groundbreaking mod, but definitly not a horrible one. It's techno, tried and true, sporting the classic 4 on the floor beat, a driving bassline, and some acidy high end sounds. Sadly this is quite stale by now, and the song doesn't really grab your attention, but it's put together well and isnt too bad on the ears, so downloading isnt out of the question. The only thing bogging this mods down is that its boring, not bad. No tech-mastering here, but the song is structures well, the samples go with each other, and there is some nice effects on the stringy sounds. XM's are sometimes difficult to sturcture, but this song fares well. Old sounds are used, so downloading this for instruments leaves you with the same ones you already have....ah well....

I really like this tune, even though it's not that great, it's really attnetion grabbing. The name stands out, and so does the music. It's fun in a sort of iNSANE way (as it says in the file info), you just can't not like it ;) Good usage of samples :) It's a little lacking, but it's fun, and inovative, and that makes it worth while in some aspects. The break beat fits well into the song, and definetly adds to the atmosphere of the song.

Good try? Well, it's sorta okay. Probably not worth the download, unles your really curious. It's also way to short. There really isn't much to this song at all, it's just some heavy guitars and some simple drums. Nothing here to make note of, except that it's not really that great. Again, get it if your curious.
