Good tune. Most unusually for a modarchive track, it has full sung lyrics. Extremely unusually for a modarchive track, the lyrics are actually good, both well-written and well-performed. I'm reminded of the style of Napoleon XIV (Jerry Samuels). |

A metal 10! The guitar work in this one is so good I went to look at the patterns to see if it was playing a big long "sample" that had the guitar track inside it -- it's not. You don't often hear a guitar done this well in a module format. The piano-accompanied plucked parts reminded me of charella.s3m, another excellent guitar piece. The plucked intro, outro, and interludes, reminiscent of Metallica, only serve to punch up this excellently crafted metal tune. |

Rocking tune, one of modarchive's hidden gems. When I'm willing to put it on repeat for an hour, it must be a 10 - Awesome. Hard to categorize the genre of this one. Crunchy speedmetal guitar backing a wailing classic rock lead guitar that trades off the melody with synthstrings. The basic theme is simple, but it gets traded around among the instruments and sprinkled with drums, cymbals, and effects enough to keep it interesting. It sounds like it's going places, with grand confidence, and you want to keep listening to it to find out where it will go next. I categorized it as rock, 'cause it rocks. A truly excellent piece of music. |

XMPlay plays it at a tempo much slower than it's usually performed. Since XMPlay is never wrong, this rendition gets only a 5. It's a reasonable transcription. I'm commenting mainly to put the Christmas tag on it. |

A smooth, melodic piece with gregorian chant-esque vocals, this is a well executed song. An underlayment of dramatic drums and strings keeps it moving while the melody shifts through various instruments. This song begs to be used as a soundtrack in a good game or movie. Reminiscent of the style of Purple Motion and Skaven, the genre approaches electronica, but the largely orchestral instrumentation keeps it in the classical category. |

Great song. If you love metal, this one is for you. Slammin' bass drum, crunchy guitars, and some great synth samples. Instrumentation and composition are both very well done - not only is it metal, it's a song. It's got a listenable melody, not just noise. The guitar work is excellently done, especially for an XM, with a lead guitar worthy of the name and rhythm and bass guitars that fit perfectly. Too many MODs use a single crappy lead guitar sample that makes you cringe. Gnosis took the time to do it right. Bow down to Beelzebub! |

I've listened to thousands of modarchive songs, and this one stands out. Very well done. The two minutes and thirty two seconds pass all too fast as this song plays. Repeat mode recommended. :) |

Inspired samples, a theme that stays with you, and dripping with attitude, this song is worth a listen. The melody is fairly simple, with few variations during the song, but enough to rate enjoyable. It would have been nice if the notes had been written out, instead of building it out of huge samples, but it still sounds good, for all that. |
