Very well structured piece, with few but well used samples. Has a slight oriental feel to it at the beginning, but soon develops in its own way. I feel it could have been longer - this almost feels like an overture to some great opus. It has a beautiful and chilling ambiance to it.
Technique, Arrangement, Composition (7/10)
Has a clever build up with a large middle section and a typical outro that almost mirrors the intro. I feel the greatest thing lacking with this piece is the length however. It could have stood to be 4 or 5 minutes longer without becoming too repetitive.
Development (8/10)
The beginning melody line is repeated, with an accompanying melody line in the next pattern, followed by a bass line / other accompanying melodies as it goes on. Feels quite well thought out, albeit not really straying from the core melody a great deal.
Creativity (9/10)
With only 6 samples, there had to have been some degree of creativity, else this would have failed. Fortunately what samples there were were put to effective use, with several different melody lines intertwining and complimenting each other very well.
Enjoyment (9/10)
You could quite happily listen to this track many times. Each time, however, I feel like there should be more of the same coming after it. I'm a little saddened by the fact it stands alone. You feel like you want more!
