| In terms of sheer musical value, well... let's just say there's a reason he uses the word "lame" in the title. Some cool use of samples (including one hilarious one), but if you're expecting something even vaguely original, innovative, or creative musically, you've come to the wrong song. Rather disapppointing. Good job tracking, but... I mean, come ON... I received well over one day's required dosage of mediocrity during the mere 2:49 this song lasts. How about something new and creative? As far as I'm concerned, nothing merits above a 5.0 without at least some attempt at creativity. For all you conformists out there, while the music industry may love you for it, I am quite sure you won't be making too many waves in the tracking scene doing the same old thing (at least, not if I have any say in it)... | |

| Pretty original, and not terrible in the creativity department; but then again, hardly innovative, and seems to have no distinct style. Could use a major sample rehaul and a tracking facelift. Has some good potential, if the artist would care to remix this mod. My god! These samples sound like they were ripped from a PSR-185 or something! Awful samples! The tracking was half-decent, but I can't get past the dog-ugly sounds; I can't give this anything above an okay/novice in technical and be able to look at myself in the mirror in the morning. | |

| Very original; I can tell there was a lot of creative intent that went into this one. Unfortunately, it would appear that the artist didn't take the time to edit this very exhaustively; I noticed some very blatant cacophonies with the strings at various points. It would also appear that the artist didn't take enough time developing themes in the music; it got repetitive and monotonous waiting for this to occur (and the... shall we say... original... chord progressions didn't help matters). I won't throw the baby out with the bathwater, though; this one had potential. It's a shame... Not great in the sample department, and all the mismatched notes and chord progressions weren't pretty either. This fellow needs to practice his tracking skills a bit more. | |

| Kindred Spirits' melody was difficult to follow at first, but when the main lead kicked in it sounded right. The main lead itself had some very good melodies complemented by some distortion guitars. What stopped this from getting a higher score is that it didn't really go anywhere.. the melody slumped near the end rather than peaked, then it finished with something that had been used previously in the song. A very good song nonetheless. Drums were pretty good, but nothing to write home about. The lead sample was a little tinny at the higher notes.. perhaps it should have been resampled at a higher note, or cut down an octave? The lead sounded quiet at places as well, but the echo effects on it were done well. Put together nicely, a good final effect.. original, as well. | |

| Fire on the Horizon gets extra points for originality. I don't know about the origins of the samples, but I haven't heard a sound like this anywhere else. That said, some of the melodies were excellent, and original but not to the point of abstractness. Cool ambient effects created by the marimbas, or whatever they were, in the background. Overall a good song worth a download. The main sample used for the lead was a little harsh and tinny, but not overly so. THe percussion sounded mute, probably due to a few bad samples. Most of the other samples would have sounded strange individually, but pieced together a cool song with a unique feel to it. | |

| Man, this was a hard song to categorize. It had very little musical coherence; at one point, the song suddently broke out into a piano tune that, while a good melody, sounded completely out of place. It got repetitive after several minutes. The breakbeat was good, however. Some of the samples seemed out of place, and there were some hellishly annoying vocal samples thrown in there and repeated continuously. The overall volume seemed a little high. There were a few really good drum samples through, which redeemed it somewhat. | |

| The biggest problem with Starlight is that too much emphasis was placed on the main piano theme, but it didn't change enough... it got repetitive after a while. A good song, nonetheless. Good use of the acid samples, they created a cool effect. Nice piano sample. There weren't any real problems in this - it was put together quite well. | |

| A pretty piano intro shifted with a gradual, well-executed transition into a faster dance song. The main part of this piece was excellent, with lots of different melodies - it never got repetitive. The theme was preserved throughout the song, as well. All in all a great song worth checking out. The only problem I noticed was that the drums sounded rather weak. Samples were used impressively, particularly the distortion sample used throughout most of the song was implemented quite well. | |

| This piece started with an eerie introduction, then degenerated into a few strange chords. It redeemed itself a bit with a pretty cool heavy distortion guitar theme. There were big problems with this one, however. Several notes sounded really off, and there was a tempo slide that sounded like it had just been thrown in there for the heck of it. A messy song, needs work. The samples, while pretty much low quality, worked well with each other. It sounded like it should have been a little louder in some places. Some added echo fx would have been nice. THe transition between the sections was sloppy as well. | |

| It took a while for the melody in Prophecy in Flames to get started, but once it did it was quite beatiful. Very cool percussion, although some more variation might have been interesting. This was too ambient to get repetitive, but nevertheless the theme was exhausted by the end. A nice song in general, good to listen to as background music. This was too long at around nine minutes. At some times the lead flute was not loud enough; the other instruments drowned it out somewhat. Perhaps multiple channels should have been used for that instrument. There were some excellent percussion samples in this one... although some of the samples kind of seemed out of place, like the chimes, the overall effect worked out nicely. | |

| A rather mellow song with a nice but repetitive lead. I have to mention that the synth backup sounds very nice indeed. It seems like more could've been done with this song. Samples were ancient, like Acumen mentioned in the credits, but he made excellent use of them. This song just isn't as exciting as his other works. | |

| This is a kick-ass heavy metal song. The intro is great, the guitars sound perfect, sadly the lead is terrible, not only because it sounds bad, but because it is every rock mod on the planet. Hey, you'll hear no complaints from me, except about that lead guitar sample. | |

| A beautiful and sad song, great atnmosphere set up in the introduction, the wolves sounded too much like someone howling though. Otherwise the blend is great and the leads are very nice. Effects were simple and effective, the rain sound had a little crackle, maybe a raindrop hitting too close? The wold howl could've been a little better, otherwise great. | |

| This song sounds great, the piano lead is especially beautiful and the basses as he states himself really do the song justice. Once again Acumen asserts his own style of music. Samples blend and use was great in this song, nothing overdone nothing missing. | |

| This song has definitely got its own groove and style. The lead was nice and the beat was there. I was really impressed by the way it seemed to be more then it was, more of a combination of several styles, it's very different from the norm, quite unique. Effects and volumes were fine, but samples could've been a little better, is the size of the song really worth its samples? | |

| This track hooks you with it's start and reels you in until it's conclusion. Good changes, good samples (and in tune!), and suspenseful builds help give you this songs `feel' almost right away. Nice rythyms, smacks heavily of originality! A few of the samples seem a bit staticy, but overall, a well planned track which keeps it's focus. Lot's of changes and builds keep the suspense coming. Some volumes are a bit high and channels are locked into left/right structure, but there is much to distract from these things in the layout. | |

| A good start gets you interested, and good beats/rythyms keep you there. The samples are all well matched to thier uses/applications. Some might call this cliche, or, form music. Everything fits together very well. A nice piano sample adds to the track, and the ending is actually an ending! Not very complicated, your basic good track. Not very many effects here, and all the channels are strictly mid. However, well selected samples and good rythyms make up for this. | |

| When this track starts it's immediately interesting. Some original rythms, and good samples combine to provide a good dance feel. After hearing the intro I was left wanting to hear it all. A few staticy samples sound odd, but they only come in once and the rest sounds quite clean. All changes are smooth and fit into the `theme' of the track, except one odd volume slide that seems a bit out of place, but doesn't cause serious damage. A great piano sample only enhances this track. Technically this track seems well planned, and originality makes it shine. This hides a bit of repititousness well. A few odd samples and effects, but over all everything appears to have a purpose. The ending seems a little loose, but as before doesn't cause much problems. | |

| After an odd beginning, these one doesn't seem to do much. It's fast, short, repetitive, and it shows. Some racously original samples that appear to be the tracks' main feature, but are over used. The voice samples are original though. Not much here as to technicals, a medicore sample collection, repetitveness, and a scattered start lead to a quickly played track where nothing much happens. | |

| This track is self described as a game intro, so perhaps with the visuals of the game it goes to, it would sound much better. As a stand alone track however, there are some things missing. A mediocre long start leads to some interesting rythyms, but a lot of repitition gives cut'n'paste tracking away. Adequate samples, although usage in a few places leaves you wondering if there is something your missing. There's potential here, but it isn't taken advantage of as much as it could be. Well, due to the fact that the patterns are all somewhat overplayed, (8 times in one instance) there really isn't much going on here technically. However, it seems that it's description listed in the text would fit if this had a visual distraction. | |

| A very nice song. The strings were great, and the leads fit well everywhere. My only complaint, or confusion rather, is that I couldn't hear a bassdrum, go figure. Very good for 8 channels, effects used nicely. A shame better samples couldn't be used. | |

| The bassline moves, it doesn't seem that anything else really does though. The lead synth sounds really odd, it borders on non-musical. It gets better towards the end. The plot is there, nice build up, climax not bad, but the denoument was kind of weak, not a bad effort though. | |

| Very evil sinister sound to this song, and very nicely accomplished. Evrything seems to blend and go into place. There was a teeth-chattering noise he used that felt kind of weird. Clean mostly, except it was far too long and repetitive for its own good, that hurt the song a lot, I felt like I was sitting there waiting for it to end. | |

| Hey, a good rock song, I think he used too much crash though, it was almost annoying, otherwise the organ sounds great and the lead was wonderful. The pulsing speed of this song gives it a good atmosphere, and all the technicalities were there. My only argument is that the crash was overbearing. | |

| The sound effects are great, the song itself goes through a lot of changes save for the 'aaaah' which gives it a really dreamy sound. If techno / jungle is what you dig, then dig this. The samples used in this song are seamless, the song itself isn't my favorite, but it is doubtlessly a great song. Sometimes I just feel all adlibbed.out due to the number of extra sound effects and constant change in the song. | |

| Okay, the first thing that bothered me was the very first synth to enter the song it was just completely out of tune with the rest of the song. The piano lead were overdone, they seemed to overwhelm the song. I don't have any idea what the bassline had to do with the song though, it just didn't blend. This song just didn't cut it, it was very confused, There seemed no real purpose except to show of the melodramatic piano which didn't really go with anything else. The blend was horrific. | |

| Classic Purple Motion. Constant beat keeps the song interesting until the end. Fast and ingeniously tracked together since it's all done with 8 channels it sounds more like 20. This song shows good use of drum samples. Song could've been a little longer. No much repitition which is good in my book. Excellent choice of samples for techno. Uses three different drum samples with added single drum samples. This song doesn't use any panning or stereo effects but that doesn't mean it doesn't sound good in stereo! Purple Motion seems to have positioned each track specifically on the right channels to make the song sound stereo. Samples are all clear and go very well together. | |
