This is a neat genre. I believe it's ambient/rock/orchestral music (which is probably considered a ballad). Nice lead strings. Cool rock-ish beat. The addition of the tech-y bass is really nice. Nice song! 7 plus

Cool ambient song. Nice leads. Some of the "diamond" sounds are a bit high-pitched, but they really sound gem-ish. The song is a bit short and monotonous, but it's still a good piece. 7 plus

A really nice ambient song. A minor problem is the sample quality, but that makes it sound like a classic. I like the leads a lot. The lead transition at 1:38 is really weird, however. The loop is nicely blended. Overall, it's a really great song.

Great, full chip song. Nice lead and background melodies. Excellent use of the channels. Great use of effects. A lot of samples, not a lot of space (about 9k!). Great job!

Neat little song. My favorite part is the drums. They sound very realistic. The organ and bass are also nice. The beat is nice and groovy. Cool tune!

Very professional orchestral metal. Great guitar sound, awesome ambiance with the orchestra in the background (the orchestra doesn't come in right away, you'll have to wait a bit), and great vocals. The first guitar melody sets the tone for the rest. Great song! 9+

An ok song. Starts out with an explosion and some sinister laughing. Then some bongos come in and then the main melody. I don't really like the bongos. They sound out of tune with the rest of the stuff. The main melody is ok, but it repeats far too often in the song. I like some of the old-time instruments. Overall, a nice song in need of some variation.

A really great synthpop song here. Nice leads and supporting instruments. The transition at 1:50 is really cool. It's a bummer it loops, and on top of that, the loop doesn't sound very natural. Overall, it's really nice. 8+

Some nice synth funk. Nice rhythm and melodies. I like the drums (bongos and such). I would prefer some more defined guitar. I think it should be the backbone to the piece, not way in the background. Overall, a good one.

This is pretty good. Great sound for a small file. If it's not high quality, it's not reed! This song has a similar feel to dansze mucyka (dansze mucyka) which is also by reed. Overall, a nice funk/disco/dance song. :/

Cool funk song! Reed's songs sound like they could be on a CD. If I heard this on the radio, I wouldn't say, "Hey! That sounds tracked!" Great bass, good guitar, and nice leads. The vocals are ok, but they get pretty monotonous. The soft part at the end is cool. Good song.

I like this one a lot. Most of the guitars don't sound real, but it sounds cool anyway. I like the chord progression. Overall, really nice.

This one is really cool. Folk-metal fusion. It starts with some mandolin (or banjo), then the guitars come in. Then it goes into a metal-ized folk-dance part which is really cool. The end is a fade-out to crickets. Nice touch. :) I love the mandolin, I like the guitar, and I like the bagpipe. Recommended for sure. 8+

Some really nice easy listening samba. Great acoustic guitar. I would like it to be a little heavier, but this is fine. The ending is very abrupt. Other than that, it's a great piece and it's recommended for sure.

I really like this one. Great melodies. Awesome acoustic guitar. Very full for a four channel mod. It sounds like Al Di Meola or somebody like that. Nice bass. The organ is pretty good, too. Most definitely recommended. 9+

Wow! I like this one. Clear vocals (as opposed to growling) are hard to come by! The guitar samples are really good except for the lead guitar. It's ok, but it doesn't sound very real. The size is pretty big, too. 5 whole megabytes. Whew!

A pretty good song. I particularly like the strings and bass drum. I also like the dark ambient parts. There are some weird portamento effects that don't seem to fit. There are also some weird tune selections. All in all, it's not bad, but a little melody improvement could make the song a little more enjoyable. 5+

A nice XM by BOB0. Techno, acid, ambient, it has it all. I like the guitar sample. Good changes of beat in this one. It's a bit short, however.

A metal song with lyrics. Neat. The orchestra hits during the chorus are a little weird. The guitars don't sound very real, but at least you can tell they are guitars! The funny thing is that this is relatively soft metal and the title of the song is "Heavy Metal to the End." :)

Nice acoustic guitar song. A little boring, though. There is only one acoustic guitar sample, so AstraDyne had to do some offsets and stuff like that. Still, it lacks some interest. Some cool change somewhere would be nice. The other instruments, such as bass and drums, are pretty good. 8-

A nice little ambient song. It sounds like a Rikimbo tune. There is one thing that I don't like - the snare. It's loud and annoying. The background bells and stuff are pretty repetitive, but the lead makes up for it nicely. Neat one. 6+

Decent dance music, nothing special. Not that original. The bass drums seems to go out of beat at some points. I like the bass sample. That piano sample is everywhere! A day doesn't go by without that sound! :) Perhaps a different piano sound? I also think some of the samples should be looped in a better place. They are too long and take up too much space. Overall, not bad. Keep it up!

This one is actually quite enjoyable. Too bad it's only 38 seconds long! Funny riffs, cool piano, and fast beat. Sounds like somebody is hiccuping in the background! When the drums came fading in, I expected some nice drums, but they went away! Overall, an original piece of music that sure knocks your "techno stinks" socks off.

Not the most exciting mod, but there are some parts that make you tap your toe a bit. A bit of folk influences here. Nice leads. The drums get a little boring, though. Maybe a little part where there are no drums? The ending is very good, but why does it say "go" at the end? Shouldn't that be at the beginning? Skillful tracking... 7+

This is a cool song. Soft rock with acoustic and electric guitar. The acoustic guitar sounds very professional. The guitar at 1:25 sounds a bit unrealistic. The part at 3:17 is very cool. Very expressive guitars. The snare is a bit harsh for this kind of music methinks. Nice bass.

Bluesy hard rock! It gets a little boring, but that guitar riff is great! Nice harmonics. Great guitar samples make it all happen. The drums are not bad. The bass near the start is cool.

Another great metal song. It starts out with a long piano solo, then smashes you right into the metal. The crowd in the background is funny. They seem to be really into it! This isn't my favorite kind of metal (extremely fast), but the tracking is good and there are some pretty cool parts. The solo guitar samples are really good. Download now!

This is a weird genre. Funk? Reggae? It's mostly funk, I think. It starts out with a bouncy "guitar" melody then the bass and drums come it. After a little while, there are some synth melodies. The drums are a bit monotonous. Come to think of it, the whole song is pretty monotonous! 7-

What's this? The background bass goes all the way through from start to finish. The samples are low quality, there is a lot of dissonance, and there's even some out of beat stuff. The part starting at 0:46 is better. The drums are hardly noticeable, though. Overall, an average chip song.

Nice metal song. Good guitar samples. Good melodies. The drums are nice, and the acoustic guitar is a nice touch. The tracking, as expected in a Dan Nyman song, is done with skill and care. His mods are better than any pop song you'll hear. Tracked music is not a lower form of music, it's an equal, sometimes higher, form.

A good soft rock song. Starts out with some nice acoustic guitar then other instruments come in. The flute sounds good, but it doesn't sound very real with the portamento effects. I've heard that piano sample in just about every module it seems! The drums are good. The ride cymbal is a bit too loud, but I like the tambourine. I would prefer an ending over a loop.

I listened to the original track by Iron Maiden, and I think I prefer the tracked one over the original. It's probably because there is no annoying operatic vocals. Most of this great metal song is tracked. Some solos are not fully tracked, but that's a tribute to the well-rounded skills of Betrayer. It seems a friend did the drum work, and he did a good job. Great song! Get all of Betrayer's XMs from 1997-2001. They are all great!

Cool funk from moby. The samples aren't the best quality, but you can't do much better than this for an old-fashioned MOD. The drums are a little too repetitive. The leads and bass are very good. It starts out with some nice ambient/newage type stuff then the drums fade in and the bass comes shortly after with a cool slide. Hard funk! Cool.

Funky and cool! Great bassline! Nice wah-wah guitar and synths. The melodies are catchy. Some synths get a little bit out of range and a bit squeaky, though. The drums help tie in all the other components. This is a very high quality song. A recommended song for sure. Blues and funk. I like it.

Groovy metal! There's thrash, power metal, and all kinds of cool stuff! The lead guitar is nice! Excellent solos. The beginning sounds a bit like Acetone by Neon Zip. The bass is a bit weird, I would prefer a finger bass instead of a slap bass. Start moshin'!

This is hilarious! But... a little repetitive (I have to be so negative!). Some of the voice samples are overdriven, so they sound a bit scratchy. The amazing thing is it is in tune! :O The drums are out of beat, BTW. :)
