It sounds pretty good, but at 7 seconds and a mere 4 bars, this is more like a musical phrase instead of a complete song. Sure, you can put it on repeat, but you'll eventually get tired of it.

Nice song. Impressive sounds, decent construction, and some good, ear-catching effects. I suck at categorizing unless it's obvious, though, so I'm just saying Electronic (general).

Meh. The drums and bass make a fairly strong percussive phrasing, but there's far too much irritation and noise overall. There's a nice, unexpected surprise towards the end, but it's too little, too late.

Killer drum phrase/sample! Unfortunately, the rest of the instruments pale in comparison. Like a lot of mod songs, it doesn't really go much of anywhere. Could have used a better melody and/or transition of some kind. But the fade out works well with the fade in if you play it on repeat.

Very nice, almost cinematic! Nice samples, and a nice contrast of samples. Some good arranging, and use of chord progressions. Like a lot of mods, it doesn't seem to really go anywhere, or at least not too far, but still quite pleasant to listen to.

A lot of trackers like to 'bend' their notes or samples in the song because tracker programs make it an easy effect to do, but too much use usually tends to detract from the song. It's best used sparingly, and this song is right there on the line between sparingly and detracting.

Catchy and melodic, but it does seem to be a little too busy, like it's trying too hard. Maybe the result of compressing an ohc into a few minutes? A little better mixing, putting more of the busy stuff into the background would have helped there. But I really like the contrast of the transition section, and when it comes out of the transition it seems to work a little better, taking the listener into not-quite-so-expected territory.

Very busy and catchy beat. Some nice phrasing. But too short to be a complete song. Obviously meant to be played on repeat mode. Plus, it has that one note that hangs over when it repeats. That can be a nice touch, but you never know if someone did it deliberately or by accident. Or if it's just a fault of the player.

It's interesting how you can tell it's a chiptune by the sound of the samples, and ironic that it's an Impulse Tracker module. Very nice melody and harmony and a good structure, but it could have benefitted by some more contrasting sounds, they mostly sound too much alike.

This has some good samples and some nice phrasing here and there, but it's just not really building to anything, so it's ultimately disappointing.

Nice use of string samples! It sounds very cinematic. It could easily be used in a movie.

It has a few of those early mod quirks, but overall it sounds pretty nice and pleasing. It gets a little shaky towards the end.

What really bothers me is that the melody sounds very familiar, like maybe this is a mod version of some pop or jazz song, but I can't think of what it might be. It does rather remind me of Bob James' style, though.

Trackerhound, I replied elsewhere, but I'll repeat my reply here:

Here's the full list of sample mods that came with the Trackblaster program:

Diablo.mod, Echoing.mod, Noname.mod, Piano.mod, Prelude.mod, Short.mod, SLL2.mod, V42.mod

Diablo's my favorite, but they're all interesting in one way or another. I don't know if they're all on Modarchive or not, but...probably.

This track didn't come with my copy of Trackblaster, so I can't say anything about the bundling.

This module is actually a mod remake of the song Popcorn, by the group Hot Butter. Here's a Youtube link to a copy:

and here's the Wikipedia article on the song:

This is an old mod file from the early or mid-90s. The original file name was "echoing.mod", and was titled "World of Wonders". I know because it was one of the sample mod files that came with an old DOS mod player called TrackBlaster, which itself was a sample program that came with the Pro Audio Spectrum 16-bit soundcard I bought for my Packard Bell 486 computer in 1995.

I'm not sure where the new name comes from, but the "World of Wonders" title has been removed from the internal text.

Pretty catchy. Almost new-wave-ish in its sound. My main complaint is that the lead isn't loud enough compared to the rhythm sounds.

This song is an excellent blend of sounds and rhythms. I love it, even if I'm not exactly sure what genre it should go under. About the only thing I don't like is the little bit the composer added to the end, apparently in an attempt to be humorous.

This sounds pretty good for theme or background music, although it's a little too monotonous for what I call "active" listening. Good samples, and a good contrast of sounds, especially between the more "computer-ish" sounds and the more realistic sounds. Technically, nothing too difficult here, but sometimes simpler is better. Check your samples carefully. A couple of them sound like they're slightly out of tune. This is a rather *long* song to be on repeat, unless you just want background sounds. Might have been better to have made a real ending for it.
