Happy go lucky tune this. Enjoyable and high spirited. Its obviously written to a high standard and there are no audible problems. Love the melodies in this.
The tune is well structured and progresses nicely as it goes. 4 Channels is a difficult ammount to use when trying to create a full but well structured timbre, but this is acheived well.
I like how this tune's melody progresses. It starts off simple and defines the theme and gets more complex as it continues and also picks up a great harmony near the end.
Definitly a lot of creativity here, which is always required for chip tunes since you can't cover it up with soundfx so much. Love the twidlies in the melody and the section endings which are quite comic.
Definitly a replayer, and will live in my personal chip playlist.
Overall this is a well put together tune which feels most suited for some kind of computer game. Reminds me a lot of the sort of tunes within StarControl2. Perhaps thats because the samples are of a similar ilk.
For a 4 channel tune it is technically well put together. and good use of tempo effects, however not much thought was put into sound levels and sometimes the bass takes over too much.
I wasn't a fan of the melodies so much unfortunately. They just were not satisfying enough. Ok for background music, but not standalone so much.
It sounds like a lot of experimentation went into this which is great! Ignoring convention is a good thing :)
Because of its fairly long length and the different sections with the tune it is definitly not monotonous. On the other hand, because it sounds more like game music it doesn't have the replay value of something a bit more melody based.
