Alpha C's Profile

After messing around with entry-level composing software and a cheap, crappy Casio keyboard since about '95, I started making module music in late 2000. Impulse Tracker was the weapon of choice, Alpha Centauri the chosen handle, later shortened to what it is today - Alpha C. Initially my repertoire had a strong focus on house, techno and other electronic genres, but later on my work has become more diverse.

Activities
Aside from doing the occasional tune (these days using Schism Tracker and OpenMPT), I'm running the tracker group/label Chimera which I started in 2006 with a couple of like-minded tracker friends from around the globe. Among my contributions to the community as a whole is helping The Mod Archive as a screener, and hosting the weekly one hour tracker compos on the EsperNet #modulez IRC channel (see this forum thread for more info).
As an active demoscener I have contributed to several productions (released or otherwise) by Outbreak, 3ln and Desire, and joined trbl as a composer in 2012.
