Hey guys, my name is Nelson Addison (A.K.A. njaddison).

I'm an amateur musical artist and DJ.

I was born on May 6, 1999. Ever since I was little, I've loved music. I got a keyboard when I was very little, and I remember banging on the keys and singing out of tune, not even singing real words. Just, "AHHHHHHHH,OHHHH, AHH, BAHHHH...," etc.

I progressed up until now. I played many instruments, but the piano was the instrument that was vital for me to begin composing music.
I've been composing music for about 6 or 7 months now.
I started out using a MIDI sequencer, and eventually, I found trackers. After listening to Anvil's The Love Trap, I was inspired to use trackers to create my own music.

Currently, the programs I use to produce music are (In order from most used to least used):
MilkyTracker
Skaletracker
OpenMPT
Anvil Studio (MIDI Sequencer, I don't use it to make modules)
FastTracker II (with DOSBox)
xmplay (module to mp3 conversion)
SynthFont (Also a MIDI Sequencer, I don't use it to make modules)
ScreamTracker 3 (I use DOSBox also)
ImpulseTracker
Voyetra Sequencer Plus Gold (Don't really use it except to listen to my MIDI sequences using Gravis Ultrasound emulation)

Artists I was inspired by:
Anvil
Elwood
Journey (the classic rock band)
Michael Jackson
Pillar (metal band)
Skrillex
Bassnectar
Sonic Mayhem
Robert C. Prince III
Lee Jackson
Nine Inch Nails
C418 (Minecraft Music!)

Games I was inspired by:
Doom
Doom II
Quake I
Quake II
Minecraft
Duke Nukem 3D

njaddison: Wow, I've been tracking this song for a few days, and I'm still not finished... and the song is only a little more than one minute!!!!!!
I'm getting used to the interface of Impulse Tracker. After I finish making this .it module, I'm going to make my first full FT2 song. I've always used MilkyTracker, but now I'm going to see how patient I am with FT2.

Re: Making my first Impulse Tracker tune! IT Modules are now on the list of modules that I make! Impulse Tracker was kind of given to me, I just began inserting notes, it's a breeze. Impulse Tracker might be easier than FastTracker 2. Naw just messing around, I'll always love FT2... even though it took me a few months to learn to use FT2, whereas it took me a day to learn how to use Impulse Tracker.

Drozerix: Yeah... I hope I can make dubstep like Skrillex, too. I'm learning how to DJ a bit. It's fun, but hard because I have to move my mouse rapidly. I don't have any turntables (yet). :-)

Re: chiptunes are pretty fun to make. im trying to learn madtracker right now and its a lot different from anything i have used before.. i hope to make dubstep like skrillex some day lol

Drozerix: Yes. My first song was a chiptune. I learned how to use Milkytracker, so I made my first tracker song. It was called, "Celestian War March." It's a short video game loop.

Re: hello njaddison! i see that you use milkytracker; i use the same sequencer! do you make chiptunes at all?
