Would-be musicians of ambient or atmospheric music, take notes. This one's a good one. The song seems to be based on the principle of "whalesong sounds cool" (and it does), and most of the music is comprised of piano and pads. It sets the mood very effectively. The song reminds me somewhat of "Freedom at Midnight" by Basehead. Like all good ambient music, this one makes you picture what it's trying to portray. Not much I can say beyond that. Good work! Good work was done here with the stereo panning. The whalesong was placed on several positions on the extreme ends of the spectrum, which produced a "surrounding" effect - since that's probably what one would actually hear when listening to live whalesong, it works. Great sample selections, and they're handled well enough to produce some fine music. Some of them were very long, however - I wonder if looping them could have reduced the file size? Overall, this is very good technical work.
