Mod Archive BBCode (text markup)

BBCode is a method of giving content writers the ability to put links and other textual formatting into a document without having to use complicated (and insecure) raw HTML. It's called BBcode because it's formatting originates from popular Bulletin Board systems.

The Mod Archive has several areas were special variants of BBCode are available for use. This page will outline a few of the places where you can use BBCode and what tags are available, because some tags are not allowed in some specific cases.

Linking Stuff

  • This creates a link to the module's information page.
    

• [modlinks]
  
  • Syntax: [modlinks]Module ID[/modlinks]
    
  • This creates a combination of links to both the download itself, the module's information page and displays: icons, filename and the module's title.
    

• [url]
  
  • Syntax: [url=http://you-link-here]Your text here[/url]
    
  • Similar to forum BBCode, this creates a hyperlink.

• [s]Your Text Here[/s] - Creates lettering with a line through it (strikeout)
  
• [u]Your Text Here[/u] - Creates underlined lettering
