Yeah ,groovy. I really like this piece of music. It sounds fresh and makes you feel happy. You really can smell the cold ,clean (hm ,I think above some mountains the air is still clean nowadays) air when RISING UP TO THE SKY. This song has nice happy melodies and the rhythm chords are cool. The rhythm will make you swing. The only criticism I have to make is the often repeated rhythmchord sequence but nevermind ´cause it rocks all over the place. Well done Raven!!! :) The samples sound good and they work together very good. It´s my opinion that the sudden end is a little unspectacular and the bassline is quite simple made ,but hey, that doesn´t matter. As you can hear the song has been tracked by an experienced guy. I really appreciate the nice echo effects ,when the piano plays a melody. And I like the last part very much ,when the rhythm synth plays. I think you HAVE to download this. |

Hmmm...this is weird...rather experimental. This song creates a dark and gloomy atmosphere. The song wants to show you a picture of the bloodstone and its mad soul which inhabits the stone. (Read the song text)It sounds a bit like a level- music from the game DIABLO. It has two parts. In the first part ,mainly the (weird) strings are playing ,sometimes howling (nerves). In the better second part ,a piano plays the melody. Some bassdrum and snare are playing ,too. The song gets a 5.5 mainly because of the second part ,and ´cause of the atmosphere it creates. Though it´s not too good ,but I know worse. I recommend a download only to people who can deal with such music. The samples are nothing special. They are common ,often used samples ,but they fit. Not much effects have been used. Worth mentioning I think are the strings in the second part fading smoothly in and out. |

Yo ,again it´s 4channel-time. I think it is from an old amiga racing game called "Badlands". And it was composed by a Big one: Matt Furniss. I wonder what he´s doing now? Does anyone know? Please E-mail me. Back to the song: It must be a levelmusic because it is very short (1min). But it´s cool. It has a grooving bassline and some rocking melodies. Very suitable for a racing game. Though it´s short I recommend downloading. Just put it 3 times in your playlist. :) Wow ,it sounds good and has only 3 channels in use. The fourth must have been spared for the sound effects. And actually you get 2 songs in one. At position 8 it loops to position 3. Listening beyond that line you´ll hear maybe a kind of "hurryup"-music which is looping ,too. Few effects are used but the composing with 3 channels is real pro. Well made for 1990. |

Ok ,4channel-freaks. This is the lovely old classic sound of Noisetracker. Guessed roughly I would say it was composed 1990 +- a year. So it is really antique. And so it sounds. Very basic ,indeed. The melodies are ok ,some sound good. And ´though it lasts 7.30 mins it doesn´t get much boring ´cause its quite variable. In some patterns there are disharmonies. For a Noisetracker-Mod it is quite good , but I know many that are better ,and many more which are worse. Result: Recommended to 4channel-freaks. :) No effects are used ,except the speed changes in the last pattern. The samples are the old classic noisetracker samples. Not very surprising due to the age of the mod. When sample no.7 is played in the high octave ,it nerves me. But ,ok for a 1990 mod it is tracked well. |

Hmmm...this song is....suspicious. What could it be? It could be used as levelmusic in an Amiga Blastém game. An older game of course. It creates a suspicious atmosphere. The song name says it all. The bassline used in some patterns is quite good ,but the melody is weird. Not really bad not really good and too repetitive. I can recommend this song only to 4channel-freaks. In a suspicious way the set of samples fulfills its purpose. The samples are old Amiga samples. They recieve a "classic-feeling" bonus point. Some effects are used and their usage is ok. The mix is ok ,too but you can hear at once ,that this is a 4channel-mod. Hey ,calm down! 4channel rulez! =D But this song was made 1997 and it sounds like its from 1991. And I remember many songs from this year ,that are better. |

Wouwww! Over 10 mins of playtime. Is this the ex-extended version? It can be divided in 3 parts. The first part has a dark ,spacey atmosphere due to the slow strings and the speech samples. After the break the song begins to rock. A fine rhythm melody and even a lead melody in the last part. This melody starts very good but after 2 patterns it doodles a bit. The beat is decent at the beginning but then it moves through your veins and makes you move especially in the last part. This song is suitable to listen at home but also to dance to on a big dancefloor. The samples work together very well but that panflute nerves sometimes. The speech samples fit in very well and are placed good ,too. The mix is well balanced and the different parts of this s3m are combined very good. Effects are well used. Especially the change of the songspeed in some patterns without changing the main speed. Impressive! |

Well ,well! My first review. Ok ,let´s see. Wow ,this piece of music has a playtime of 8.17 mins. It consists of a funky beat ,a rocking bassline and a simple main melody. The song has a lack of variety but on a dancefloor or on a big HiFi-Stereo it would rock the people. But when you just sit and listen its far too long and gets boring. This guy has some experience with this kind of music. The sequences are mixed up cleverly and several breaks fit in very well. THE SAINT used several beat loops but his own tracked beats show that he can do it well by himself. The sample quality is good and the use of effects shows good tracking expierience. But I think the main synth is too loud in the mix and in 2-3 Parts there are too many elements playing and it gets confusing. |
