Really good tune, no idea why it's not featured. I just wish the bass was in stereo (i've gone ahead and made an edit for myself where it is). Does anyone know who made this? I'd love to hear more. :)

Yeah, sucks that the instruments are out of tune. Otherwise it's a nice module. However, i think you can fix the tuning and the title, and then reupload it under the same name (psirius_-_cuckoos_dream.xm), that should replace this module with the fixed version.

Wow! I had absolutely no idea that the Lego Stunt Rally soundtrack was made with a tracker. Really interesting to be able to look at how the songs for the game were created, as a kid i was always wondering about how they were made. I've had some fun taking the samples from these and attempting to compose my own LSR music. :P Cool to see all of these uploaded here!

The soundtrack in the game itself is processed with a lot of reverb, and without that the modules sound very different. To properly listen to them, i recommend turning on reverb in your module player. I'm playing them in OpenMPT with reverb set to GM Large Hall, and Cubic Spline interpolation. Sounds pretty accurate to the game's playback of them, if you'd ask me!

This module is good. What the hell are the comments below? Rating a module 1/10 because you can't be arsed to find a tracker that plays it properly is just low.

The winner of the very first Yomaru Contest. Nice module, although it's a bit repetitive and the samples could be more optimized.

I honestly don't understand why anyone would give a module 1/10 because it has crazy pattern effects. This module is fucking insane and i'm sure it took a lot of effort to make. You know the comment system is broken when invalid ratings like Yomaru's one aren't policed in any way.

I always really enjoy experimental modules, and this one fits that description very well. As far as i know, this is Appels' first ProTracker module, and for a first i think it is very impressive. It makes use of some more unconventional .MOD techniques, such as using "stereo" samples split up between two channels, and channel panning. The samples consist of a lot of trippy acid drones, vocals and kicks. The drum programming is kinda minimalistic, the entire module is really focused around ambient/droning sounds, as i'd guess is common in it's genre. Appels really created a sound that's unlike anything i've ever heard in a (ProTracker) module before, i think more people should try to push boundaries like that.

Awesome stuff!

Through the use of weird samples and some real compositional skill to mess with those samples, you've really managed to create a certain aesthetic that's very apparent in all your ProTracker work. This is a really great example of that. It's got all the eclectic samples, drum programming and style i've come to expect from your modules. You've squeezed some really funky shit out of those 4 channels. There's really no parts of this module that get boring to listen to, it's very heavy on changes and modulation which is always great for the listener. Excellent work!

This is some great demostyle music. Maybe an odd choice to some for a spotlight, since it doesn't have any crazy sample usage or crazy pattern effects or anything really over the top. But honestly, it has such a clean execution in it's melody work and theme that i really think it's worth a feature. The space theme is very apparent throughout the song, and the classic samples and vibrant melodies used in the module contribute to that a whole lot, giving it sort of a retro videogame sound. And in general, i just really like it when people try to emulate that demostyle vibe, this does that very well! Altogether, i think this is a very well done retro module that definitely deserves some attention.

Very catchy stuff! You didn't go overboard with samples and channels and the filesize definitely shows. It does sound a bit flat though - some delay would help the main lead a lot, it'd add a lot more depth to the sound which this module does lack a bit.

Poor cover, it's missing a lot of song elements from the original (percussion is wrong, no pads/strings), and the melodies are simply not the same (and the ones that are there are *way* too repetitive). Samples are outdated, they would be a lot better if there was any sort of technicality displayed in the tracking itself, but the most this module has are some Axx commands. Nothing about this module really interested me.

This has got to be the worst module i've ever heard. I can't understand how anyone would legitimately think this garbage is good enough for TMA. Just... don't download this, please. It's not worth your time.

Hmmm, i really wonder who could've possibly inspired this module... I only checked the artist after i heard the module and i was highly surprised that you made this! I mean, i've checked some of your modules before, but this one is definitely on another level. It's a bit repetitive (and maybe a bit unoriginal :S) but i enjoyed it a lot, it has good samples/instruments, good programming, and a good mix. Not to mention it's the first module in the 'Q' folder of my collection, so that's a thing.

This is definitely one of my favourite modules. Your sample usage is crazy, the way you arrange all sorts of different sounds into such a unique style truly fascinates me. Your modules always have a very interesting vibe around them and this one is no exception. I especially love patterns 4 through 6, the drumloop you've used sounds so good, and it's mixed in with the rest of the samples so well. My only complaint is that that section of the module doesn't last forever. And i mean - there's a lot of different patterns and the song goes through a lot of progression very quickly, which may be slightly too much for my taste. Still though, it doesn't change the fact that this is a really awesome module.

I didn't really enjoy this module. First of all, i can hardly make out the lyrics. I understood "i'm 16 bit and i'm proud", but except for that line, the vocals are too chopped to really represent speech very well. The second line appears to sound like "everything's used for making crap music", yet i would assume that instead of "everything" you meant to say "8-bit". The vocals beyond that... well, i can't even grasp what they're about.

The kick drum seems all over the place, it varies wildly in pitch all the time and it's really what makes the piece itself sound very uncohesive. I mean, you put some form of effort into this module ofcourse, but as a whole it's not very good. The kick drum, the vocals, the rest of the melodies - they all don't fit together very well. And on top of that, the module is only 52 seconds long, which is incredibly short. I don't see myself giving this a listen again in the future, to be fair.

I'll be honest here... In the song comments, you've stated you use trackers since they're better for writing music than any other DAW. I really can't hear it from this track. The melodies are very repetitive, and the changes you've applied to them feel very random. There's nothing really interesting going on and the entire song just feels really repetitive as a whole. I feel like you aren't fully utilizing all the features of OpenMPT, as there's a lot more stuff you can do with it, which this song really doesn't display.

Really cool stuff for just 4 channels. You've made this song sound really driving even with the limitations. In my opinion, the volume isn't well balanced though. The instruments sound very overpowering next to the drums. I also found it to be a bit repetitive, but i could understand it being the point to have a lot of repetition in a track like this. Nice tune!
