Syntax is a computer festival, dedicated solely to the demoscene - a place to present and celebrate realtime animation (called a demo), pre-rendered animation, graphics and music. The word "demoparty" is globally used to describe this gathering of computer coders / musicians / 3D and 2D graphicians all under one roof, being constructive. SYNTAX 2008 was a huge success and the various productions can be found under downloads. If you missed Syntax08 be sure to make it down in 2009 and if you are new to the demoscene but interested, certainly come down for the screenings later in the evening for a beer.

AHX / My AHX tunes
« on: August 07, 2009, 16:27:00 »

I rendered most of my tunes into MP3s by recording (most of them) from the Amiga itself...

You can grab them from here

Although if you want to grab them off TMA, there's my page here

HivelyTracker

About HivelyTracker, from IRIS & Up Rough!

Hively Tracker is a tracker program based upon the AHX format created in the mid '90s by Dexter and Pink of Abyss. The format was relatively popular, and many songs were created and used in scene productions and games. AHX was designed to create a very SID-like sound on the Amiga.

HivelyTracker can import and export modules and instruments in the AHX format, but it also improves on AHX in several ways and therefore has its own instrument and module formats.

HivelyTracker offers the following features over AHX:

    * Multichannel (4 to 16 channels)
    * Per-channel stereo panning
    * Two commands per note instead of one
    * Ring modulation
    * A more feature rich editor

Hall of Shame / brimstone-three by "rt the machine"

Ripper: rt the machine
Filename: brimstone-three.mod
Title: brimstone-three
MD5: 7ed8f8ae084704c88531255f6ed69326

Original:  fairy.mod Download
Original Title: fairy lights
Original MD5: 35259e01b1f13eaf9b5c842a62924de8

Comment: [Rip reported by DragonM]

This MOD with an internal date of 2002 is straight up plagiarism of fairy.mod by u4ia, first published in 1991. The samples and the sample list were changed out. Everything else is the same. The claim of basing it on an old MOD called "bards tale song" is not substantiated. Unless "rt the machine" is u4ia himself, it should be removed from the archive.

Seems unreachable today, wonder what's up with that -

Has it (again) gone to ground?

Has Mysterium forgotten to pay for the domain rental?

Has someone broken the DNS?

Stay tuned to find out on this epic journey of an adventure!

Excellent party, hope to see some of you there next year :)

I released Dim Sum, a quick track made in Renoise for the music compo and it came 2nd, there weren't that many entries as it was such a small party but it was a fantastic experience all the same...

Rewired, Maaseik, Belgium.

Enjoy the vid :)
