No insert workaround in GNU/Linux?

Hi. I'm running Debian on a MacBook, which doesn't have an Insert key. I know there was a workaround for this in the OS X version (though it's been a little while since I used Milky, and I don't remember how you enabled it), but I haven't spotted such a feature in the GNU/Linux version yet. Does it exist?

On OS X, you enable it from the preferences available in the application menu. I'm fairly sure it doesn't exist elsewhere.

That's the feeling I had. Which means I have a problem then, and not exactly a trivial one.   :-\

you could try remapping *insert* to something else (e.g. F12) or alternatively use a virtual keyboard..
