So, have you even made CD collections of your beloved modules?
I have, even three times, burnt CDs with my favourite mods. However, i consider many of them as crap nowadays, but that was back in 2004 and 2005, when i was just collecting random modules...
How about you?
edit: weee, post #400 ^^

I have a lot of collections that came on CD rom, I've not burnt my own collections in recent years. I think the last time was in 1995!

Hoboy. I think I probably have everyone beat with my MOD insanity.
I have a few cassettes in storage from the output of my old GUS Max. I had probably 3 hours worth. I used to listen to them on my walkman.
- I've gone as far as contacting a friend of mine from University in 1995 to get his copy of a MOD that I couldn't find anywhere. Yep, he still had it, last month.
- When Andy (phoenix) stopped supporting /pub/demos at Walnut Creek, I downloaded the whole thing onto my expensive 40GB SCSI drives over ISDN at the cost of $0.10/minute. I then sorted them over the next two months of unemployment. Then, California had rolling blackouts and toasted my drives.
- I started sorting them again (I grabbed the torrents of ModArchive), and of course, when sent in for service, my laptop's HD was reformatted, despite promises it wouldn't happen. Oops.
- I ported mikmod to MacOS X in 2005 so I could listen to my MODs again, and fixed the old AIFF output so I could import them into iTunes, and burn them to CD.
I have a few CD-Rs out there, I have no idea where, but right now my collection is on my HD and my iPod.
I'm starting to rebuild my collection. I think this time I'll have to pony up for RAID-5. I don't want to do it all over again MORE than three times. ;D ;D ;D

Yup, burnt them as audio files, even went as far as putting some of them on mini disc (which I still use)!

Yep! Years and years ago, I put together a set of four CDs of tracker music and labeled them as my "On The Right Track" series. Kept them in pretty heavy rotation in my collection for a while. I keep meaning to re-do them with some of the tracks I found later, but I keep putting it off.
(Oh, and hi Alex! Long time, no see. :) )

Blimey! Hello there, Novus, my mentor from years gone by. :) Yeah it has been a long time (and sorry for taking a month to spot your reply - I've only been dropping by every so often). Hope you are well! ;D

Done it multiple times, since my personal collection of modules is always growing ;)
-
I'm addicted to my tracker, so every year when I go on a holiday, I burn my best most recent tracks on a CD so that I won't be too lonely for the rest of the week(s) :)

I voted for no, cause I record them on tape. There is no better (imho) 8)

Many times, but I listen more to my ipod than CDs now, so most of my faves are on there!
-
I made several CDs with mod pop for personal use. One entirely with stuff by reed.
-
I helped produce two commercially-published compilation albums on CD:
"Parallel Dimensions" by Nebula and Landslide (I was one half of Landslide, along with Morgan Page)
"Trax" by Landslide
In fact, I'm looking for anyone who may still have the physical retail copies or track listings, as the only thing I still have are the CD-R master discs we sent off to manufacturing. I have none of the cover art, liner notes, disc art/graphics, or track listings. That stuff used to be on CDDB and FreeDB, but those went offline and their supposed replacement (gnudb.org) contains no results for these discs.
