Title: 640x480 in ppc milkytracker
Post by: kissjuni on July 13, 2007, 18:35:08
Is it possible? 640x480 on pda's with support of bigger screen resulution than 320x240?   ;D

* Edit: PPC stands for pocket pc (Windows CE) and not for Power PC

In theory it's possible, but the desktop (hires) version lacks an onscreen soft keyboard like the lowres version has got. If your hires-PDA hasn't got a built in keyboard it will be rather difficult to use.

I have a HTC Universal running vga. When I run Milky it runs 320x240 and pretty much
all touch input is lost. Keyboard works but no touchscreen. What would it take to get
a vga/648x480 version up and running for pocket pc?

I'm not sure what this means. Can you explain it further?

On that particular HTC, 640x480 was unlocked software wise through
some hacks.. I'm going to try out some newer versions of windows mobile
and see what happens.

What I meant before was: when I am running in 640x480 mode and I load
Milky, it loads as 320x240 and the touch screen no longer works correctly.

It's probably because the stylus tap coordinates are no longer correctly translated. Most likely they still come in as values from 0..639 and 0..479 instead of 0..319 and 0..239.
This could be easily corrected on software side though.
