the speed command changing the speed is mainly a side effect of the speed command changing the ticks per row. so it can (and sometimes is) used to create some fine effects with apperigo command (0xx).

example

F06|c-1 037
F05|c-1 037
F06|c-1 037
F05|c-1 037

at F06 the apperigo is run twice (c, d#, g, c, d#, g)
at the lines with F05 the apperigo is run 1 5/6 times (c, d#, g, c, d#)

the effect of this is the main cause for that 'jiggy shuffle sound' in many modules that use this technique.

the last hexedit with 8bytes line lengths i saw was at the beginning of my a500 times.

so to be more specific (just for saga ): to an ascii search for 'FULLSCREEN' and change the fifth byte after that from (hex) 31 to 30

open milkytracker.cfg (its benath milkytracker.exe) with a hex-editor of your choice. go to line 230 and change the second byte from 31 to 30. save it, start milkytracker and configure it.
this does not do anything with the resolution (the resultion is in the lines after it), it just disables fullscreen mode.

proably you can also just delete the file and milkytracker will create a new one with default settings for you, but i am not 100% sure on that. so you should use the safe way i described above.

well thx for the response. i will rearrange the song soon for an album version with bass and such things. but this version has its undeep sound on purpose. the very little variation is also on purpose, because the main harmonies are kickass.

sry that i am divning up the old topic, but i always wanted to know something: what is the exact reason for making the keyboard map hardcorded instead of giving the possiblity to change it on the fly or via an *.ini?
