Title: Player developers - read
Post by: m0d on August 18, 2009, 15:23:06
If you are a developer of a player that is now available for users to use, and you wish to have a dedicated section of our forums for your application, just drop a message onto this thread with details of your project and it'll be reviewed for consideration by the crew.

Hi there,

I developed the player "JavaMod" which can be downloaded here. http://www.quippy.de/mod_en.php (http://www.quippy.de/mod_en.php). All information about the player can be read there.

I would appreciate it if the player would be reviewed here and maybe than suggested on the player's section - if all found major bugs are fixed.

I hope, I picked the right thread for this...

Greetings

Daniel "quippy" Becker

FYI: You have already created a thread about it somewhere else (http://modarchive.org/forums/index.php?topic=2066.0) - i guess your query would fit better there.

I made this little player in game maker a long time ago. I made it to be as little as possible and decided to keep out most of the features the library provided, instead I wanted to keep it simple.

I originally posted it on the game maker community to encourage other people to use mod in their games
( http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=389886 (http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=389886) )

Then for one day I noticed it had been uploaded to softpedia
( http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Audio-Players/Mod-Player.shtml (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Audio-Players/Mod-Player.shtml) )

And today I post an easier to use version (with less features) here.
This is the download: https://app.box.com/s/xkrxc6bl89y2n6mdx8ckrpeb1kf0jutr (https://app.box.com/s/xkrxc6bl89y2n6mdx8ckrpeb1kf0jutr)

EDIT: Almost completely forgot to mention. If anyone likes this player and has any suggestions, just let me know. I would be happy to change this to meet the needs of the community. Here is the help file of the library I used and should give people an idea of what functions can be added. https://app.box.com/s/o0uv0353m9bjtmrdjf79s2y564bdynh7 (https://app.box.com/s/o0uv0353m9bjtmrdjf79s2y564bdynh7)

Currently, I'm working on a ProTracker module player routine for the scripting language R:

https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/ProTrackR/index.html

I'm hoping to find some volunteers on this forum that are willing to test the package and provide me with constructive feedback. For testers it is a prerequisite that you are familiar with the R language. Testers will of course be credited in future releases. If you are interested please contact me on this forum, or through the contact details provided at the URL listed above.

Hello,
I've been working on a console/terminal based player, heavily inspired by DMP and similar players. It's kind of a GUI for libopenmpt, native Windows 32/64 bit only. Open Source.

Found here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/lomp/ (https://sourceforge.net/projects/lomp/)
As it's still a bit in development, latest binaries are provided with the source code tab/section.

Thanks
