Title: accepted sound format
Post by: usrfriendly on July 24, 2008, 11:00:23
being as this is hosted by the Mod Archive, i have one question to ask: Can I upload MP3s?  I would upload XMs from Nitrotracker, but my MicroSD/USB adapter got stepped on and finally crapped out.

MP3s are not acceptable, as usually I guess you're talking more than 500kb, which is more or less the limit I like to keep attachments on the forums. So the answer is no. You will have to find your own hosting solution and post links instead.

mp3 support would allow for more samples as their size is much smaller. ogg's too

This was about uploading full songs to TMA, not about samples in NitroTracker. If you want modules with mp3/vorbis/lossless compressed samples, you should take a look at the MO3 format (http://www.un4seen.com/mo3.html).

This was about uploading full songs to TMA,
...to the forums as attachments.
