Title: Cool Modules (and other scene music)
Post by: Saga Musix on August 26, 2008, 13:46:01
No worries, if you have more, post them up :) Maybe a thread on the main forum would be cool to just post cool songs to as well! Be my guest if you want to start it. :)
Here we go :D I thought it would probably a cool idea to extend this to other scene music as well, mainly because there's currently a tune I've really "fallen in love with" again:
Radix - Yuki Satellites (ftp://ftp.scene.org/pub/music/artists/radix/mp3/1999/yuki_satellites.mp3)
more modules will follow :)

Your link is a tad malformed. But nice thread idea! I'll pitch in by mentioning Crankshaft and his tasty download page of selected works (http://www.crankshaft.fi/index.php/content/downloads). You may also know him as Yolk / CNCD and some of the tracks on the page are in fact demo soundtracks. Easily one of my favorite artists.

fixed the ftp link, thank you.
Speaking of CNCD, I really like their first album which can be downloaded here (http://www.cncd.fi/music/). Tunes I really like are shaft, headhunt, kiulu and entrance.

At the risk of this turning into a dialog I must say thanks! I had forgotten about this album and having downloaded it now, it's sounding really nice. *nods head to Entrance*

i'd quote my posts on scenemusic.eu:

you might have found it on the website already, but I finally got hold of THE module: yukisatellites.xm! 1000 thanks to radix for mailing me this. Having the xm is so much cooler than just having the mp3. :)
Grab it here! -> http://modarchive.org/module.php?167157

I particullary liked "Cleopatra" by Xerxes, but I don't know where to find it anymore.

Anyway, THE one and only mod for me will always be Algorhythmic by Deathjester.
It was the first module I ever listened to and THE module that made me jump on the tracking train. It's still the best one for me.

Reviving an old thread...!

"Darkness" by Felix Schmidt is one of the most beautiful pieces of synthesized music that I've ever heard. It's creepy, haunting, pulsating but also soothing, everything at the same time. And it looks awesome in the 3d spectrum, too!

http://files.exotica.org.uk/modland/?file=pub/modules/Delitracker%20Custom/TSM/darkness.src.cus
You also need all those files in a sub directory called "instr":
ftp://aero.exotica.org.uk/pub/mirrors/modland/pub/modules/Delitracker%20Custom/TSM/instr/ (ftp://aero.exotica.org.uk/pub/mirrors/modland/pub/modules/Delitracker%20Custom/TSM/instr/)
Then you can play the .cus file in deliplayer.

Maybe not the new sensation on the scene, but I still like it. It's good for day (http://www.fashionforhome.co.uk/daybeds) or night and in between. :D
