Title: Player MOD/XM/S3M/IT/MT2/XRNS ?
Post by: ViZiON on September 21, 2008, 00:46:35
Hi,

After using ModPlug Player for listening MOD/XM/S3M/IT format (oldschool) on my PC, I would like to know if one Player can play MOD/XM/S3M/IT/MT2/XRNS format because I love listening modules (oldschool) and recent musics...

The latest version of WinAMP works perfectly to support MT2 plugin. But it plays not correcty old modules (MOD, IT, XM...).

Today, I use the latest version of XMPlayer 3.4 :-) What do you think ? Anyone knows the best modules player on PC in 2008 ?

Thanks & Greetings,

ViZiON

XMplay (not XMplayer) is the best module player you can get. there are currently no programs except renoise itself which can play (X)RNS files. you'll have to convert them to mp3 yourself.

Hello,

DeliPlayer (Windows), Winamp (Windows)  and XMMS (Linux) are good for old modules.

About XNRS, I don't think there is a player.

Winamp is not good for Modules... :P The Winamp Oldsk00l Plugin by Surfsmurf (which also runs fine in XMPlay) is a nice one, though.
