Title: Sample specifics
Post by: corrosion on November 25, 2008, 07:27:56
Is there a size limit, specific wav format that NT only reads?
I haven't been able to get my samples to work yet (keep getting the DOH error).
I tried WindowsPCM, Microsoft ADPCM. Maybe there is a size limit per sample?
What are the specific details for getting the samples to work? Is there a recommended software to edit them?
Thanks !!!

NitroTracker reads standard uncompressed PCM waves, so actually "Windows PCM" sounds fine. Bitrate and sampling rate don't matter, and both mono and stereo are fine. The samples should be smaller than 3MB or so, because the DS has only 4MB of RAM. Try using Audacity for saving the samples, that's what I use.

Interesting. I tried audacity and it worked right away. There were so many little options in Cool Edit that I guess I missed something that NT didn't like. From now on I'm saving all my samples in Audacity. Thanks!  ;D
