Title: Your favourites
Post by: m0d on December 08, 2008, 18:00:52
Each modarchive.org member can store a list of up to 200 300 favourites for future quick reference. The list will also be publicly visible via profiles. This feature is new and is in Beta, so if you find problems please report them on the Mod Archive Bug Report forum.

I challenge you all to make full use of the feature list, it will be developed further at some point but let's walk before we run eh? :)

All members will find a new link on each module page, "Add to My Favourites". Pretty straight forward. Another link has appeared under your "My Account" menu, oddly named 'My Favourites", so go figure, huh :) There you will find the module's you've added sortable in chronological order (also reversible), by file name and by title.

Enjoy!

Here's my list of favourites (http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_member_favourites&query=69141) (so far, lot more to add still).

Feel free to post up your fav list link in this topic!

this feature is impressive.  :D always missed this one here.  ;)
if only there were a feature to export faved tunes to your sceneradio favlist...

also, could you turn on sorting by vote (if there are ones) and showing only tunes that were not voted by this user?

have no time to fill favlist now... however, my comments list (http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_member_comments&query=81927) can act the same way.

Votes? eh? I don't understand the context.

I think you missed the point of the favourites, and that is to store a list of modules you like. I know too well that sometimes you find a module and then forget it or lose it. The favourites allows you to easily find it again.

If you look at someone else's list while logged in, the ones you already have on your own list are highlighted and labelled accordingly.

I saw this in action when looking at your favourites the other day and thought it was kinda neat.

That may be so, but we know it's not the same for everyone, like me, I comment on shit modules, too... Helping sort the goodness from the chaff.

i mean, to sort favorites by the rating you gave to each tune - in order to show which favorite is the most favorite.

well, if you look at his comments list, it looks like they're all his favourites. :D
yes.  ;D

well whatever. the feature itself is very well done - faving is easy and doesn't bring any troubles.  ;) really, i thought i'd spend twice as more time on it. great job m0d!
