Title: [PSP] Futureplayer
Post by: nemesis on August 18, 2009, 14:23:59
hej guys!

we from paradise (http://paradise.untergrund.net) released a lightweight replayer for your favorite module formats such as SMOD/FC14, YM (LZ5), XM, MOD and IT.
for the replay we use opensource routines (see nfo for credits).
get the package at the archive (download) (http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=53690) and feel free to leave a comment there or here.
bugreports are welcome! (mind that there is a known issue with the file 'hires_hunt.xm'. the player hangs if you stop the module or switch to another from it playing. sorry for the inconvenience. i'm on it.)
it's been tested on fat/slim with fw 5.00. controls are listed in fp_controls.txt.
have fun :)

greetz,
nem

edit: checkout this (http://paradise.untergrund.net/futureplayer.txt) for information about the issues.

edit: all known issues are gone :)

Cool!

Great to see such developments.

Hope you don't mind that the topic was moved from the MT forums, but it feels more at home here than the Milkytracker community if it is a player-only.

Will you be releasing it on Pouet too?

the link to archive leads to pouet? ;)
it was released at the demoscene-party buenzli#18 last weekend.

oh and there's no problem with the move :) i just thought that it's interesting for the milky-devteam that we used their routine.

I don't have a PSP myself (wife does) but i'm really pleased to see these sorts of apps pushing their way out there, so massive kudos for that. Also, fucking ace that you turned up at a party, it's a pity Buenzli is one I couldn't go to. I was at Evoke, though... Watched a bit of the Buenzli stream but it wasn't as great as the real thing ;)

The milky guys will still see this post, the re-director topic will point them here and i'll edit it with a bit more info so they won't miss it at all :)

By the way, you might have noticed already but if you want a dedicated feedback sub-forum for your app you are quite welcome to one here.

thanks for that kind offer for a subforum :) however i guess it's not that important at the moment. people can drop a mail or post in any of the forums if they experience problems. that should be fine for the small amount of people using it.
it's not been my first demoparty btw ;) actually this player has developed itself out of a sceneproduction anyway. looking forward to tum!

Yeah I gathered that :P I meant how it was a 'good thing' that people like us are still attending. ;) I won't be at TUM though, unfortunately, as things stand right now, around Christmas is tricky with work :(

yeah quite an uncomfortable time for family reasons :) however..

package updated.
all known issues are fixed by now. replay should work fine with all routines now.
also a playlist loading bug was fixed. DELETE YOUR CURRENT PLAYLISTS. sorry for that!
