Title: Hello!! - Hum, I do have a question... :)
Post by: F-Cycles on October 29, 2009, 14:26:23
Hello everyone,

It's been.. I don't know how many years I come from time to time to modarchive downloading almost always the same modules.. hehe! There was one .mod from Amiga which always bug me... because I couldn't get the song to play at the right tempo... playbyte_demo.mod.

Recently, I decide to check within a mod editor and see why this song will play slower than in the demo. I fix it and now I have it play at the right speed. Hum.. I wonder what should I do with this fixed version?

Any advises?

Hi, welcome to the forums. Since this was posted in the intro thread, uh, it's sort of stuck between two things you want from us... so i'll just mention quickly that sure, you can post a fixed tune, but do ensure it's not your player that's at fault (for example, XMplay has precise MOD playback, unlike some others).

Again, hello and welcome :)

I immediately thought that the demo must have had a buggy or different replay routine that required the musician to supply a custom module. That would sound like the logical explanation if indeed you've NEVER been able to replay it correctly outside the demo. Otherwise you are of course encouraged to test more players.
