Title: Grid in the Sample Editor.
Post by: L0V3Y0UH4RDC0R3 on April 05, 2010, 00:25:46
This Poll is for those, who would like to have a Grid in the Sample Editor.
It would allow to modify self-drawn samples with a higher precision, for better sound.

I locked the voting as it seems that nobody needs that grid.
And i finally came to the result that I don't need it too.
I just downloaded samples from http://tracker.modarchive.org/ (http://tracker.modarchive.org/).  :D
I recommend to do it to everybody who needs some good samples.

Well, IMHO polls are the most useless thing when it comes to feature requests - do you expect that the developers feel a sudden urge to implement a feature just because 100 people take part in your poll? I guess 100 forum posts would be more encouraging. Also, yes, a grid might be something useful for freehand drawing, but you normally just use freehand drawing for chip samples and not for "real" instruments - so the WaveWorld sample we offer on our tracker are a completely different thing.

Nearly all of the samples i use are hand-drawn. I don't feel that i would benefit that much from a grid, even though it would be a nice feature.

Keyboard control for moving envelope points would be awesome though. But yeah it would be nice being able to arrow-move the latest drawn point in the sample editor as well.
