Our torrent archive has been updated with a new torrent: The Kiarchive torrent (http://tracker.modarchive.org/d639852c22ea292ab548000ec6627f660ceb60de/) contains all samples from the original Kiarchive, which disappeared without a trace some time ago. It contains almost 900 MB of samples in the XI (Extended Instrument) format, which can be read by many popular trackers.

I sent this link to someone, and he said the torrent is no longer working.

Fortunately I still had the files which I downloaded sometime last year... So I mirrored them on Mediafire.

(9 files, ~430MB. I think because I used rar with the highest compression setting it compressed it quite a bit more than the original zip)

P.S.. there's a few instruments in the root directory that weren't on the original KIarchive, just some random things I downloaded, cello, harpsichord, distorted guitar, etc. :)

Urgh, mediafire. With 20 active seeders, I highly doubt the torrent is "no longer working", maybe said person just didn't set up their torrent client properly.

Possibly so. Oh well, at least it's available somewhere else for those who can't use the torrent.

Have you ever thought of putting it somewhere permanent like the Internet Archive?

Since I'm not responsible for the torrents I can't say anything specific about that, but since I guess noone has any exact information on the copyright status of these samples, adding them to the Internet Archive might probably not be the best idea.
