So I've used SubDrag's N64 Midi Tool to get the midi files from the games The New Tetris and Tetrisphere. However they are exported as .dcm files and I and unable to open them with any program. Neil Voss (the composer) said that he used Fasttracker 2 to make all the music and sound effects. So there should be a way to open the files in MilkyTracker, right?

It would probably easier for him to find the original XM files rather than trying to squeeze MIDIs back into modules. The usual MIDI formats are very different in their concepts from modules. Either way, to slightly increase the chance of this getting any attention from possible developers, you should maybe bring up some file specifications for this format.

(Sorry for the late reply) The thing is that I won't be able to get the original .xm files from a game that came out in 1999. As for file specifications, I don't really know. All I know is that the .dcm midi files are just encoded for N64 playback, I think.

Why not? Did Neil lose them?

Well, he may not have them anymore, they could have been trashed along with his old DOS computer when H2O went out of business. If he does have them, I don't think Neil would just hand them over either. Plus I don't know how to contact him...
That aside, I want the .xms for educational purposes only. I am so curious as to how he did everything.

I wouldn't be so sure about that, especially if the original developer is no longer around anyway. It never hurts to ask, and I bet he's not that difficult to contact (https://twitter.com/neilvoss)...
