Title: Samples... ARGH
Post by: Robrock55 on November 16, 2015, 23:04:16
Hi everyone

I'm new to tracking and I'm getting headaches each time I want to modify my samples !
The problem is that, I want to make evolve my sound in a certain way (more or less aggressivity, more or less "shining" etc...) but I don't know HOW

As I'm a musician, all the rest of tracking is going smoothly. But I really don't know how to deal with raw samples.

Also for the drums... MEH
I found 2 or 3 videos on youtube explaining how to do it, but it's more like "Generate noise, then draw... like this !"

Is someone having some kind of documentation or best practices about this ?

Thanks in advance for your answers ! :D

Sorry if I made mistakes, I'm french.

You can use the sample editor to mess around with your samples or draw new samples.  Don't forget that you have instrument envelopes.  Go to the instrument editor to add some more effects.  You can also modify your sounds with sound editing programs like Audacity.  I don't know what you mean by evolve.
