Title: Hi there! New to tracking!
Post by: Plisskens Glider on August 16, 2018, 00:45:07
Hi everyone, allow me to introduce myself!
I am new to writing music with a tracker, though not new to writing music, or synths. I have only been playing around with MilkyTracker for a few days but am pretty much obsessed with it! Coming from a modern DAW/production background, or using analogue synths, this is a whole new beast!

In case you would like a little background info, I have two main projects -- my first one is a crossover prog band, As Follows (https://soundcloud.com/as-follows); very Rush meets Yes meets Genesis meets Pink Floyd blah-blah-blah. The other one is Plissken's Glider, a synthwave project I started a few months ago (https://soundcloud.com/user-488615346); I guess that one is like Depeche Mode meets John Carpenter?

Anyway, I've known about Chiptune for a while but never thought about writing music in the style until I got into eurorack synthesis ... now I'm looking for something even more obscure lol.

So, please forgive me in advance for all of the stupid questions I am sure I will be asking.

Thanks for reading, take care!
