Just a helpful heads up.
Artist: https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_profile&query=69077
Module: https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=188928
Maybe this could become a pinned thread for posting modules by an artist that is on modarchive.net but isn't linked with them, to help those running the site with module-assigning?
-
Good idea, I pinned the topic.
-
more modules from that artist:

This module is a collab with the TMA Anton
https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_profile&query=91188
I have no idea when he will log on TMA again, since it's been more than a year since he was. Thought it would be good if it got linked with him since I'll never know if he still remembers it, and Anton is a very common name :)
-
Done.
-
dunno if i should post the opposite here, but:
https://modarchive.org/module.php?43465
https://modarchive.org/module.php?60878
https://modarchive.org/module.php?54283
these 3 modules should be unassigned from arty since these modules got assigned due to a same filename problem.
arty's freedom module seems to have been uploaded again and is available at: https://modarchive.org/module.php?171831
2 others from arty (VOYAGE.S3M and seaside.s3m) are also still available.
-
The modules have been unassigned.

I did some research on unlinked Maktone's modules.
Maktone's profile is: https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_profile&query=69469
A. These modules should be linked to Maktone's profile:
1) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=44281
2) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=52130
3) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=166060
4) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=166065

8.) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=166476
9) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=166478

17) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=188358
B. Next are pairs of duplicate modules. Both modules in each of the following pairs are unlinked. One module from each pair should be linked. I did a checksum comparison between the following modules and the modules from archives that were available on Maktone's official website. Today these archives are available by the Wayback Machine, see links [1] and [2] between this section (B) and section C:
1.1) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=35096 – MD5 correct
1.2) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=166440 – MD5 wrong
Spotted difference: sample texts.
2.1) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=36346 – MD5 correct
2.2) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=166481 – MD5 wrong
3.1) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=54801 – MD5 wrong
3.2) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=166414 – MD5 correct
Spotted differences: title is missing in 54801; different notes in patterns 6 (row 6 on channel 2) and 2 (row 42 on channel 2).
Commentary: 54801 seems to be corrupted.

C. Next are pairs of duplicate modules again. But the difference is that the second module in each pair is already linked to Maktone's profile. If in some pair the first module is preferred over the second, then it should be linked. I did the same checksum comparison routine that I did in section B:
1.1) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=51334 – MD5 wrong (not linked)
1.2) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=106828 – MD5 correct (linked)
Spotted difference: title (two spaces between words "on" and "top" in 51334).
2.1) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=53037 – MD5 correct (not linked)
2.2) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=109348 – MD5 wrong (linked)
Spotted difference: sample texts.
3.1) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=55852 – MD5 correct (not linked)
3.2) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=108236 – MD5 wrong (linked)
Spotted difference: sample texts.
4.1) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=57519 – MD5 wrong (not linked)
4.2) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=111470 – MD5 correct (linked)
Spotted difference: sample texts.
5.1) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=57689 – MD5 wrong (not linked)
5.2) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=108985 – MD5 correct (linked)
Spotted difference: title is missing in 57689.
6.1) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=57876 – MD5 correct (not linked)
6.2) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=144870 – MD5 wrong (linked)
7.1) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=60056 – MD5 correct (not linked)
7.2) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=112213 – MD5 wrong (linked)
Spotted difference: sample texts.
8.1) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=166061 – MD5 wrong (not linked)
8.2) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=54945 – MD5 correct (linked)
Spotted difference: sample texts.
9.1) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=166459 – MD5 correct (not linked)
9.2) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=54798 – MD5 wrong (linked)
Spotted difference: different notes in patterns 2 (row 6 on channel 1), 0, 1, 6 (rows 6, 14, 22, 30, 38, 46, 54 on channel 1), 3 and 7 (rows 6, 14, 22, 30, 38, 46 on channel 1).
Commentary: 54798 seems to be corrupted.
D. These modules should be unlinked from Maktone's profile:
1) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=35343 (86260 bytes) – wrong version of castle.mod, correct is https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=110742 – duplicate of https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=35334 – real author is Matt Furniss (proof: https://www.exotica.org.uk/mediawiki/index.php?title=Special:Modland&title=Special%3AModland&md=qsearch&qs=castle.mod&pg=1). It is also incorrectly linked to the artist profile of Semtex (https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_profile&query=69642).
2) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=57269 (68076 bytes) – wrong version of simple.mod, correct is https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=187178 – real author is unknown (proof: https://www.exotica.org.uk/mediawiki/index.php?title=Special%3AModland&md=qsearch&qs=simple+blood).

Assignments have been done, the dupe merging will be done probably tomorrow.
-
https://modarchive.org/module.php?59890 should be unassigned since aberration's profile says that it's not their module.
-
3.1) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=54801 – MD5 wrong
3.2) https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=166414 – MD5 correct
Spotted differences: title is missing in 54801; different notes in patterns 6 (row 6 on channel 2) and 2 (row 42 on channel 2).
Commentary: 54801 seems to be corrupted.
I'd say that 54801 is most likely the original tune, but the notes that differ between the two versions of the song have arpeggios that exceed the Amiga frequency range, so someone edited them by transposing those notes down by an octave, bringing the arpeggios back into range. I will not merge those two versions for now as we cannot be sure if both versions are genuine or if the Amiga-compatible version is just a poor fixup by someone else.
Same about 9.1. These are not corruptions but deliberate edits. I will keep both for now.

Understood. Thank you very much for going through my massive list. And could you please then link https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=35096 and https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=166459 to Maktone's profile too, like you did with other modules from the list, so that everything would become (almost) perfect? Thanks in advance.
-
Yes, those are now assigned as well.
-
When I was doing my massive post about Maktone's modules in the past year, I have overlooked this module:
https://modarchive.org/module.php?187476
Please assign it to his profile too:
https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_profile&query=69469
Thanks.

Done.
-
This module:
https://modarchive.org/module.php?196187
needs a link to
https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_profile&query=69469

Done.

https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=201302
This module should be assigned to this guy since I remember it was posted on Demozoo under that name before getting removed:
https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_profile&query=95720
This person also added the module himself...
