Title: Found a copy of a lost module
Post by: Reziac on January 13, 2022, 03:44:08
Way back in the dawn of modarchive, a file named alien.xm ("Run for your Life" by Trackz, 1997) was overwritten by a later upload with the same filename, and was thereby lost.

Well, I finally found my archived copy, and I'd like to upload it, but I want to ensure that it doesn't get clobbered again. Suggestions on how I should rename it? Not sure what the internal naming conventions are here.

One of my favorites, so I was sad when it disappeared!

i'd suggest 'trackz_-_run_for_your_life.xm'.

btw do you have cag - free (systems) (free.xm)? it was also overwritten by another module with same filename

Do you have any indication when that was supposed to have happened?

saga musix: https://web.archive.org/web/19990220092630/http://www.modarchive.com/top10.html

search the filename (free.xm) and youll see that the module name is different.
