Title: Original source of a sample
Post by: cs127 on June 18, 2022, 14:22:30
Hi everyone!

I've noticed that this sample (https://cs127.github.io/assets/files/etc/archive/2022-06/sample_8k.wav) (or a similar one) is used in a lot of modules:

Some examples:
Sample 18 of cd_orbit.mod (https://modarchive.org/module.php?35683) and cd_axelf.mod (https://modarchive.org/module.php?35672)
Sample 16 of Stardust Memories (https://modarchive.org/module.php?59344)
Sample 14 of enigma.mod (https://modarchive.org/module.php?42146)
Sample 25 of skyrider.s3m (https://modarchive.org/module.php?54321)

Does anyone know the origin of this sample?

Thanks, but that's not what I needed. I wanted to know what synthesizer it originates from.

Can't say for sure either, but it sounds like a standard sync lead passed through a heavy flanger effect. May or may not be a preset but should be possible to recreate something similar-sounding without too much effort.
