wow, the countdown is at 11 days (in fact, I just looked and it was 11 days, 11 hours, 11 minutes and 11 seconds. That was pretty wierd, so I had to sign up for beta)

I'm surprised this wasn't posted here months ago already. Well, anyways..

Even as a former TiS-member who saw it's glory days and the fall, I'm not expecting too much from this revival. Actually, I'm not expecting TiS2 to be anything else but another community website with exactly the same people who are active in the already-existing communities - Just a one more place to release your music in.

I hope that it'll be something more than that, but it'd really need to be something revolutionary to make me excited.

It probably was but I thought since it's gonna launch in 11 days... that makes it news?

it may be a steaming pile of p00p but hey, I'm sure anyone who frequented TiS in the past is at least gonna want to take a peak...

And now that it's open to a lucky few, to follow up, has it had that effect on you yet?

It has some nice feaures like creating and sharing playlists of your fave tunes on there (although this is either not working with my browser or broken this morning..)
Saurin has taken some influence from facebook etc and you can network 'freinds' and stuff...

all uploads are mp3 although you can also upload the 'source' file,
the old TiS Charts are back
old seeming reviewer system is back (ie sign up and review to get your stuff reviewed quicker...)
it does seem like a nice community site, and it's nice to see an mp3 site that's not just blatent commercialism (although it will be interesting to see in what direction Saurin takes things this time...)
the song stats are quite good and detailed, and it's certainly a good fast site. It will be interesting to see what kind of monster TiS grows into this time around... Unfortunately I don't have any new stuff to put up there but I might render some of my better tunes into mp3 and post them so I can join in the community more, there's definitely a few names I recognise hanging around already..

Well, TiS2 is not revolutionary but it isn't as horrible as I suspected it to be. It doesn't get me excited, but I can't see myself leaving the community either now that I have joined it. This is alot more than I was originally expecting.

I have over 120 "friends" on TiS now :D Ahehahehha!
