Title: How do I browse modules?
Post by: Spamhugger on June 13, 2007, 19:27:14
In the old Modarchive I could browse through all the mods alphabetically. With this new site I can't seem to figure out how to do this.

If I go to the Help section here....
http://modarchive.org/index.php?TMAFaqBrowsing
It says....
"HOW DO I BROWSE MODARCHIVE?
Well if you havn't found out already - check the top of the page. The Browsing panel shows you all of the letter directories from A-Z, as well as the options to browse the archive via genre and review score. Selecting one of the links, or selecting a genre from the Genre pull-down list will result in you being taken to the appropriate listing."

So then.... where is the browsing panel? Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but I can't seem to find it.

You just need to use the "browse by alphabet" pull down list.

That FAQ is a little out of date, sorry. Here's a follow on from that FAQ:

Browsing by Letter
(or number, or underscore for that matter).

Since the inception of the first Mod Archive, the files on the archive have historically been archived by their filename, and sorted in alphabetical lists. The older versions of The Mod Archive used hyperlinks to each of the letters, numbers, and the underscore, for that browsing around was very simple.

In the newer versions of The Mod Archive, this functionality was moved to the new combined search and browse page, where selection of the letters is done via a simple pull-down menu.
