Title: linux (fedora7) tracking software... and maybe midi hardware
Post by: squares on August 30, 2007, 23:43:09
so, i think im going to have a laptop soon, running off fedora 7 linux
and i want some tracking software... so far with my pc im using modplug, so i want something kind of like it
but i also want it to have some midi capability... and on that subject, id guess that anyone who knows of linux tracking software might also know of linux midi interfaces
so, does anyone know of anything that at least vaguely fits either of those descriptions? thanks

uh, imo linux is not ready yet for professional equipment :)
About modplug, have a look here (http://lpchip.com/modplug/viewtopic.php?t=1531), especially on page 2 und 3, if i read it correctly (some time ago), pelya even managed to compile it with native linux libraries... however, it seems to work stable on WINE now.
