Knytt Stories

The ever increasing popularity of Nifflas' Knytt series of games has seen yet another release. Nifflas first introduced his games to us at TMA when he drafted up a mini game with a rather odd topic being about The Mod Archive IRC channel (http://www.yaaay.net/niffpage/?stuff=Games#MOD).

In many of the games, the music had been specially created by members of the Modarchive community, creating some of the most superb soundscapes found in a free game.

His previous game, Knytt, gained notoriety in the Edge Video Game Magazine (http://m0d.untergrund.net/misc/images/nifflas-edge-feb-2007.jpg). The latest incarnation makes ever more progress and it's available for download from Nifflas' website: http://nifflas.ni2.se (http://nifflas.ni2.se).

AcidJazzed Evening Plagiarism case now at an end?

From the only official news (http://www.fairlight.fi/tempest/acidjazzed_evening/) source concerning the plagiarism case, a short message is up there stating that the case has come to an end. It seems that the folks involved are keeping mum on exactly what the outcome is leaving even more questions unanswered about what actually happened.

To summarize, a producer copied a piece of music from the tracking scene and incorporated it note-for-note into one of Nelly Furtado's album tracks.
For those who have not been following this case, you can read up one of the discussions that came to our own forums (http://modarchive.org/forums/index.php?topic=488.0).
