PC Players / Re: the best player ever _ one of them

We performed our first (and so far only) singback gig with original music powered by Visual Player, so hooray.

I don't think it could really compete against the likes of Cubic, but it was there (home computer, out of the reach of internets) first so it deserves a tip of the ole hat.

Tracking / Re: FT2 Help?
« on: April 16, 2009, 12:13:19 »
Well, there's TFM. Anyway, there is no "new sample" button or anything, you have to work with something existing. A quick way to get some bogus sample data is using the sample recording function(s). There's a high possibility of them behaving oddly under emulation so if that's the case for you, just load a sample and use that as a basis. Sample drawing is done with the right mouse button.

MilkyTracker Support / Re: milkytracker PDA can act as midi slave?
« on: April 08, 2009, 12:17:33 »
even if you are able to link your PDA to your gear via MIDI, you 'll can not sync milky to the tempo. Just send some basic NOTE on NOTE off , and maybe velocity. Nothing more.

I can confirm velocity sensitivity. :)

@poguemahon, it's a crapfest.

EDIT: Checked the sources, libmodplug is used.

I don't know of a way of making a PDA MIDI connection (not saying there wasn't one), I'm not sure if the PDA version even has any MIDI code but I can tell you MilkyTracker's MIDI support only covers note input. You can't trigger playback or sync over MIDI.

NitroTracker Feature Requests / Re: One sample per key
« on: April 05, 2009, 11:13:34 »
An .XI instrument can hold up to 16 samples, which you should be able to map to different keys in a tracker. Provided the functionality exists in it.

MilkyTracker Support / Re: Error when moving Milky
« on: April 05, 2009, 03:32:40 »
On which OS is this? Anyway, after what you've done, I'd only expect OS X to be able to keep the association intact. (Re-)Installation doesn't really apply due to how Milky is distributed. But. On Windows (XP) you should be able to Browse for applications outside the list that appears in the box. Click the button and use the Open file dialog to navigate to the new location of your MilkyTracker executable.

MilkyTracker Support / Re: 9xx Sample offset docs, stupid question
« on: April 03, 2009, 19:46:45 »
Well, not a multiple (unless you count 16-bit), but exactly 65536 bytes. But yes, 980 offsets the playback by 32768 (0x8000) samples, which is exactly half of 65536.
