I got lucky yesterday and found out! It was the famous Guitar Slinger song...
I am very happy now.

Help me find that... / HELP: Looking for a particular mod
« on: May 29, 2009, 02:45:48 »
Hello people,

first of all: thank you for this great site - I've had so much fun with it already! :)

I know this is a very long shot, but I am looking for a certain mod song that I've loved back in the day (early 90's, can't really say exactly, but it had to be around that time). When I sold my Amiga (never should have done that!), I lost the song with it.

These are the clues I can recall:

1) It was something like a folk-rock song/ballad, mid-tempo, melancholic but optimistic mood.
2) I remember I loved it cause the instruments sounded quite real and acoustic, especially the guitar.
3) I am quite sure a rhythm acoustic guitar was starting the song and accompanying throughout.
4) After the intro bars this lovely flute melody came in - might have been an upright flute. Perhaps something similar to the synth melody in Clannad's "The Hooded Man" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8jmZ77-bvw)
5) There was some sort of rhythm section, some real drums and/or percussion, but soft.
6) I am pretty sure it was a mod file of size from 300 to 500Kb, maybe 600Kb. How can I remember this, I have no idea, I guess I am weird. :)

If anyone could help me with the search, I'd be most grateful. Meanwhile, I'll be looking.
The idea of actually finding the song gives me the chills! :)

Cheers everyone.
