scons: *** [gui/widgets/text_edit.o] Error 1

stripping out that function leads to a working build in scratchbox.

Binary runs nice and fast - no BS /usr/share or anything!  WOOT.  WOOOOT!  NICE



lots of bugs to iron out. hopefully someone else...
