Im working on a retro pixel platformer in flash. I found some awesome music on this site, and contacted the author but he didnt reply. Granted he was a proffesional composer and im as smalltime as can be, plus it might appear as if i was scamming him (while I actually have no income at the moment), so no hard geelings and its perfectly understandable.

But I still can only sell my music if I can attach a nice tune to it. Now my game is now completed yet, Im in the process of implenting all the graphics but all the gameplay is up and you can play it.

Im not really in a position to pay someone for music yet, but I have tried to make a true retro platformer here. So is there a way to get a reasonable quality mod music for my game? Also it has to be a true amiga mod, the action script 3 mod player only plays true amiga mod songs.

Im busy with a game and I do think this piece of music has the perfect mix between cool, funky and fun for my game. I would love to talk to the composer and talk about getting permission to include it in my game, Does anyone know who wrote that song??

Not sure if i should post it in the welcome new members thread. But there the introductions seem to be just one sentence..

Anyways, im not a composer by any means, did some piano as a kid but am on the whole not a huge music fan. However I am a flash developer now and love Photon Storms Flod, a mod player for actionscript 3!

Am making games with flixel (http://www.flixel.org) and pixel art for a whole retro feel (and small file sizes).

Am hoping to find good mod songs on here and perhaps some help finding the artists for some songs if I want to obtain the rights to have them in my game. Since not every entrance has the composer listed.

I dont have the environment graphics for my current game finished, but am very interested in http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=58827 ! Im not sure if it would fit in my game, but would it be possible to track down the original composer of this?
