The Lobby / Re: Music Encoding / Reproducing?
« on: May 31, 2012, 01:25:44 »
Wow that was a quick response, shocking too.

I'm baffled.
Well i don't really enjoy the original version then, it just sounds weird and slown down, while what Galaxy reproduces sounds right to me and i really love it. You must admit, it sounds so intense and...just much better.

What is a mystery to me is why these tunes are so popular amongst mappers in UT. They're great though, even if this is Galaxy not being able to reproduce them properly, i still prefer its versions.

The Lobby / Music Encoding / Reproducing?

Hello.
Firstly, I think this topic requires serious attention so if i'm in the wrong section, please feel free to move it.

I downloaded an amazing tune from here: http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=161726

But here's what's been bothering me for a while.
It appears that some of these tunes do not encode properly with most of the players, they sound differently.

I made basic sample cuts for you to compare how it sounds on the regular players and how it should actually sound like.

This is how it's been reproduced by the players:

This is how it's supposed to be like:

I'm sorry if this has been discussed in the past, but I feel it's an important odd rendering issue.
So what causes this? What player should I use to get the real reproduction of the tune(s)?

Cheers.
