The Lobby / An ethical question for the community regarding samples

I am fairly new to samples and I was wondering what the community felt in regards to using other peoples samples. For instance drum samples in particular...

If I wanted to use roland samples or a drum sample I liked from another musician is this looked down upon at all? I dont want to be 'stealing' if its considered that.

but I honestly like some peoples drum samples and would like to use them.

Well I joined just a minute ago because I am having writers block (trackers block?) and I just wanted to communicate with others that are into tracking. I have been learning ableton live and various other music tools but honestly nothing does it for me like tracking. tracking just feels right.

  been messing with LSDJ for a number of years here and there. Started learning Milkytracker recently and wanted to get into a community that has a passion for tracking
