Okay, I finally got it working.  The problem is that the account activation URLs e-mailed out by the site are badly mangled, with multiple layers of URL character encoding applied to it, and then I guess outlook.com wraps its own BS around that URL to try to hit their own servers first to see if the URL is "safe".  The way those automated mails are formatted needs to be fixed somehow.  Ideally the URLs would not be sent as actual links, but as plain text, which the user can copy/paste out of the email and into their browser to ensure nothing's messing with it.

When I click the link in the password reset email, it just takes me to an error page:

Woops!
Something went wrong, you will need to go back and request a new password again.

Already tried.  I cannot log in.

I always get:

"Incorrect Password or Username used."

Still not working.  When I follow the link in the account activation e-mail, I always get an error:

Woops!
Sorry, the confirmation link code you followed is either invalid, or the account has already been activated.

If you continue to have issues, please contact us via our forums or if that doesn't work out, try and find us on IRC.

The Lobby / Re: Ever burnt your favourite mods on CDs?

I helped produce two commercially-published compilation albums on CD:

"Parallel Dimensions" by Nebula and Landslide (I was one half of Landslide, along with Morgan Page)

"Trax" by Landslide

In fact, I'm looking for anyone who may still have the physical retail copies or track listings, as the only thing I still have are the CD-R master discs we sent off to manufacturing.  I have none of the cover art, liner notes, disc art/graphics, or track listings.  That stuff used to be on CDDB and FreeDB, but those went offline and their supposed replacement (gnudb.org) contains no results for these discs.

Apparently I created a main site account (username=syrinx) many years ago, using some mystery email address that's probably long since gone, because I'm unable to register a new account with that username.  Is there any chance I can get that account restored so I can use it?

  • Nebula Musicworks "Parallel Dimensions" (two CDs)
  • Landslide "Trax" (one CD)

I'm looking for the track listings, album art, disc art, and liner notes.

I helped produce both albums, but all I have in storage are the original CD-R master discs we sent to manufacturing.  My only physical copies of the end product were stolen ~20 years ago, and shortly thereafter a hard drive crash wiped out my only digital copies of the track listings and art assets.

The CD-R masters have all thankfully survived ~25 years and are still readable, but they do not contain anything but the audio tracks, and I've been unable to find any photos/scans or track listings online.  And all of this predates The Wayback Machine by at least a few years, so there's almost zero record online of these ever having existed at all.

If any "old timers" like me still have track listings, art assets, or physical copies of these albums, please do me a HUGE favor and help me reconstruct these important parts of my personal history.

Thanks in advance!
