Seems to be a known issue. I downloaded the latest patch from GitHub, built it, copied the binary to /usr/bin, and the problem went away.

Hello,

I've downloaded a couple of sample packs and am having fun dabbling with Milkytracker. There are tons upon tons of great sounds available; however, I don't know what they sound like until I have loaded and recorded them into my Pattern. Is there a quick way to "pre-listen" to instruments / samples in some kind of browser? I haven't found any.

I just installed milkytracker on an up-to-date Archlinux distro. After displaying the graphics starup sccreen, the program crashes. Here's the console output:

Please submit a bug report stating exactly what you were doing at the time of the crash, as well as the above signal number. Also note if it is possible to reproduce this crash.
