haha,
i never suspected that someone would want the note data?
really nothing fancy there, since my "technique" was to just sample all the individual notes i needed to write the song.
or is it the samples :D
are there specific tracks you want?

i just rendered the xms in foobar and was surprised how much better the playback quality was compared to the output of the DS lite.

cheers

NitroTracker Feature Requests / zoom
« on: April 30, 2009, 08:01:27 »
hello again,

and here's my only other wish:
i want to be able to zoom in on the beginning of the sample, i don't even mean graphically zoom in, just a "fine position" slider or perhaps even simpler: what if, when in the sample editor, the sample would only play back the marked region?
surely that won't take up much more ram?

that way i could hear if my 5th attempt at pixel-perfect cutting results in losing the attack of my sound or not. it really sucks having to sample something 5 times over because of that or having to save each sound to sd card and load it back (especially if you want to create multi-samples)

NitroTracker Feature Requests / Multi-Instrument mapping method
« on: April 30, 2009, 07:55:37 »
hello, i love nitrotracker.  ;D

i really enjoy the workflow of it and i dont want any arpeggio FX or really fancy tracker things i just want 2 things,
the first one fixing the following problem:

i've been working extensively creating multisamples with real instruments using nitrotracker.
i go about sampling my sound sources (piano, guitar, drums etc) note for note,
so of course i'd want the tuning/mapping to be accordingly.

so if i sample C3 - that's not a problem, but if i sample G2 next, i have to go to  to the tuning page and tune it UP accordingly and if that's not confusing enough, all the notes that are between C3 and G2 also have to be half-tuned as well.
when i sample a new note it always assumes the pitch of the nitrotracker template,
so basically the keyboard is mapped UPSIDE DOWN.

i know i only take about 30 minutes to do all of that and write my song, but i could work soooo much faster if i had that, because basically i'm repeating the same procedure all the time, which is very confusing even though i know my intervals. especially when i go about and sample 3 notes per octave over 3 octaves for example.

NitroTracker Tracks & Songs / Karlmarxstadt's Nitrotracker Songs
« on: April 30, 2009, 07:39:52 »
Hello Nitrotracker forum,

i'm a long time tracker maniac and
discovered Nitrotracker about a month ago.
started working with it on a daily basis during my holidays in the countryside
and decided to post my results on a blog.
i will keep posting one new track everyday until i run out of inspiration,
which hopefully never happens  ;D

i enjoy working with the DS especially because i can use the inbuilt mic to walk up to a soundsource, take it and start tracking immediately. it's the most refreshing and spontaneous approach. i find the results quite amusing and enjoyable and i hope so do you.

best
